The Netherlands is opening up again! Just in time for AgriData Innovations quarterly team lunch and strategy session 🥂

During these sessions the team discusses what we are doing well and where we need to improve on the following categories:

1) Technology
2) Team
3) Finance and Sales
4) Gezelligheid (conviviality, coziness and fun)
5) Operational excellence

The overwhelming feeling from all team members was that everyone loves coming to work at ADI. It was inspiring to see how motivated everyone is and the extent to which people are proud of what they do!

This afternoon AgriData Innovations is hosting our amazing group of angel investors at YESDelft for some inspiration and strategic decision making for 2022.

As of May 2022, William Simmonds and Lucien Fesselet will celebrate 10 years of entrepreneurial collaboration. The partnership and commitment between these two young entrepreneurs is a perfect example of the power of persistence.

The only thing you can correlate to success, with a high level of confidence, is the power of persistence!

Here is to the next 10 years 🥂 🌱

ADI – and that’s a wrap for the first six months of 2021 – we’ve had a busy time in the greenhouses of Holland.

We are proud to have completed the first two quarters of the year – which have been the busiest in our history. is now active in six greenhouses in the Netherlands and our crop monitoring systems are helping growers to observe cultivation performance in vast indoor growing areas (often the size of two football pitches).

It’s a pleasure to see our digitalised germination counting systems in full swing at Beekenkamp Plants, we look forward to scaling this solution across more young stage propagators.

We have been monitoring the physiology of Chrysanthemums alongside our partners Delphy and we’d like to say a special thank you to the growers at Leen MIddelburg Chrysanthen and Zentoo Chrysanthemums for their help and support as we’ve worked together to integrate our systems.

Finally a big thumbs up to Royal Brinkman and the growers at Retine where we’ve all worked together to create a digitalised pest management system.

As crop monitoring using cameras is our key focus moving forward we have decided to rename the company – to reflect this important strategic development. We are still but that now stands for AgriData Innovations. This name demonstrates clearly what offers in the marketplace to the Dutch horticulture sector. We will continue to develop our state-of-the-art greenhouse monitoring systems in association with our partners and colleagues. We intend to continue playing a strategic part in the full automation of greenhouse horticulture in the coming years.

Meet the ADI Team!

We'd like to feature Tom van de Water this week.

Firstly we'd like to say a big thank you to Tom who has been with us for the last six months. Tom has been completing his graduation thesis whilst working as an intern for us at ADI. He has been a great addition to our team, with his positive and capable attitude and his friendly approach. Tom focused on developing the mounting framework for ADI's camera systems onto Royal Brinkman’s amazing spraying boom. Thanks to Tom’s hard work our images have never looked so stable and crisp. He was a very welcome team member in the greenhouses and we are sorry to see him go.

In the words of our Director William Simmonds ..''For the last 6 months ADI has had the pleasure of Tom van de Water’s competent and friendly manner. It was an honour for ADI to have provided a platform for Tom’s graduation and we wish him all the best for the future...''

When Tom is not grappling with cameras and spraying booms in greenhouses he enjoys nature and the great outdoors. He likes riding his race bike and playing handball. He is also a dab hand at photographing nature. We wish Tom well in the future.

Meet the ADI Team. Today we are pleased to feature a member of our 'business development team' Sebastiaan de Jong

Sebastiaan is putting into practise the 'business' knowledge he acquired during his BSc in International Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). He and Job and William are working together to move ADI's commercial development forward and to make sure that the company continues to grow.

He'll start a Master's in Supply Chain Management in the near future. Sebastiaan loves to travel and did an exchange in Hong Kong during his degree. Friendly people and tasty food - in his words! He says that celebrating New Year in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, was a highlight of his Asian travels.

When he's not working for ADI he enjoys listening to and making music. He's also partial to a good video or board game. The photos show Sebastiaan's fond memories of Hong Kong & SE Asia.
