Some tenants move in. MobileSentrix moved up. 🎉

They started out in our Business Center, and the team kept growing until it simply needed more room. So earlier this month they unpacked their boxes in a brand new office on the third floor of the low rise, with a view over the Coolsingel that's hard to beat.

MobileSentrix supplies parts and tools for repairing phones and other electronics. The company started in the US and now runs its European office right here at WTC Rotterdam, with the warehouse in Eindhoven taking care of the logistics.

We love it when companies grow up inside our building. Welcome to your new home, team MobileSentrix!

🛡️ Safety Week at WTC Rotterdam

Safety starts with the people who take care of it every day. That's why this week we're putting one of them in the spotlight: Keith Druiventak, Security Team Leader at WTC Rotterdam.

Keith has worked in the security industry for over 20 years, the past 7 of them with us. He leads the team day to day and, together with his colleagues, makes sure everyone who works at or visits WTC Rotterdam feels safe and welcome.

"We're truly a great team, and I wouldn't trade my colleagues for anything."

What does Keith enjoy most about his job? Motivating his team, working together, and building good relationships with clients and tenants. A pleasant working atmosphere and great results: you achieve those together.

Outside of work, Keith is a father of three and shows his sporty side: fitness and football are his biggest passions.

You're invited, tenants 🧑‍🎨

On Thursday 15 October we're going to the Business Evening at Art The Hague, and we'd love for you to come with us. Over 55 Dutch and international galleries are taking part. It's a great chance to meet other entrepreneurs and professionals from the region and make some new connections. The art makes an easy icebreaker, and it's a good excuse to leave the office a little early.

We'll welcome you at stand 21 (WTC Rotterdam Art Gallery) between 4 and 6 pm. The fair stays open until 8.

International inspiration, brought home to our WTC community

A few weeks ago, our Managing Director Eveline Kolk and Joanne Roozenburg, Portfolio Manager Bouwinvest, travelled to WTC Ballerup near Copenhagen for the annual European Meeting of the World Trade Centers Association.

Together with WTCs from all over Europe, we swapped stories and experiences. We also hopped across to Sweden to visit WTC Malmö, WTC Lund and WTC Helsingborg. Beyond some pretty iconic buildings, we picked up a lot about community building and how other WTCs keep their international networks strong.

Now the fun part begins: turning those ideas into something our own communities in The Hague and Rotterdam will notice. Watch this space.

What really keeps a WTC community moving?

Meet Eveline Kolk, Managing Director of WTC Rotterdam and WTC The Hague. A key part of her work is strengthening the WTC community and connecting people and organisations: locally and internationally.

What is your main focus?
"For me, it's about creating meaningful connections. A WTC should be more than a workplace. It should be a place where people meet, exchange knowledge and discover new opportunities."

How does the WTC team make that happen?
"Through events, partnerships and our international WTC network. These bring professionals and organisations together and create opportunities for new ideas and collaborations."

What are some good examples?

At WTC The Hague, we recently celebrated the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival with a live performance and a lantern workshop. Moments like these bring cultures and traditions together, and that's exactly what an international community needs.

In June 2027, we will host the WTC GATRI at WTC Rotterdam. It looks at developments affecting international trade and investment and what they could mean for the future. Professor Dr Rob de Wijk will chair the session and share his perspective.

Why does this matter?
"Because this is where the real value of a WTC comes to life: bringing the community together, strengthening our international network and creating conversations that matter!"

In this way the WTC teams ensure that WTC Rotterdam and WTC The Hague turn from places to work into places to connect.

Werkliefde. Yes, that's a real word! 😍

It's National Vitaliteitsweek from 21 to 27 September, and this year's theme is Werkliefde. Loosely translated, it means loving what you do and where you do it.

The idea is simple. Work takes up a huge part of our lives, so it should give us energy, not drain it. Feeling connected to your colleagues, finding meaning in what you do, and yes: sometimes just enjoying a good coffee break.

At WTC we see werkliefde in the small moments. A quick chat by the coffee machine, someone holding the elevator. A workday that just feels good to show up for.

And we do our bit too. We keep working on our facilities, hospitality and amenities to make every workday that little bit better. Call it our own version of werkliefde for our tenants 💖

Rotterdam has a new Fashion Mayor!

Last night Shayron Tremus took the sash and officially becomes the face of Rotterdam Centrum for 2026/2027. Big shoes to fill, or in this case: a big wardrobe.

The afterparty landed at The Hub, right here in WTC Rotterdam, and we loved having a small part in it. Good outfits, good energy ánd a proper toast to close out the search for the city's next style icon.

Congrats Shayron, and thanks Rotterdam Centrum for letting us host a bit of the celebration.

Meet Diangelo Quillonice Santiago Welhous, better known as 'Gelo'. Originally from Willemstad, Curaçao, Gelo has been working as a chef at The Hub in WTC Rotterdam for the past five months.

Together with his colleagues, he makes sure the dishes served each day are fresh, flavorful and prepared with care. For Gelo, cooking is also a way to share part of who he is. “I love bringing my own ideas into the menu and introducing people to the flavors I grew up with in Curaçao.”

What he enjoys most is seeing guests enjoy his food. If a dish can make someone smile or brighten a few minutes of their day, his mission is accomplished.

Outside the kitchen, Gelo enjoys music, gaming, anime, drawing and history. And his ambition? One day he hopes to start his own food truck and eventually open a restaurant where Curaçao, creativity and great food come together.

A warm welcome to Opcharge! 🔌

WTC Rotterdam is happy to welcome Opcharge, a fast growing name in electric charging solutions, as our newest tenant. They've signed a long term lease for The Loft: around 500 m² of office space plus a 150 m² rooftop terrace, set in the monumental former gatehouse of WTC Rotterdam.

Three artists, three fascinations, one thought-provoking exhibition.

On Sunday, 6 September, WTC Rotterdam Art Gallery will open the new cultural season with works by Olaf Mooij, Aletta Bos and Bianca Runge.

Through humour and imagination, they explore the relationship between people and their man-made environment. From the car as a ‘sacred cow’ and the intelligence of nature to the excesses of our consumer society. Their work balances beauty and alienation, inviting us to see the world through different eyes.
