First graduates in Kisumu, Kenya - 25 women waste pickers trained using new awareness and capacity-building toolkit - well done!

The project is led by GRID-Arendal and supported by GIZ,German International Cooperation. The toolkit was developed by experts and activists from Asia, Latin America and Europe, including ISWA International Solid Waste Association Women of Waste Task Force for content on gender-related topics and female empowerment.

Many thanks to the Wastepickers Welfare Association who implemented the first 5-day training workshop - a great team of trainers and great good luck to the participants in upscaling their skills and building their business!!!
