Emficon, manufacturer of small sized EGCS, has become a Green Award incentive provider. Emficon offers a unique exhaust gas system which is very compact and fits in small spaces. Despite its small size, the EGCS delivers great results. Measured emission reduction effect was as high as Soot 99 %, HC 99%, CO 99% and NOX 90%.

Inland ships holding the Green Award certificate are now entitled to a full rebate on the first Green Award certification fee, when purchasing an exhaust gas system from Emficon, and a 20% reduction on the special Green Award service contract.

Green Award scheme has a new incentive provider: Foru-Solution, a company that offers an efficient and innovative product to clean up oil spills. The incentive is applicable to certified companies and other Green Award incentive providers.

Oil spills are a huge concern as they pollute seas damaging sensitive ecosystems. Foru-Solution provides an emergency response equipment to limit the damage from an oil spill to minimal. It is available in 2 sizes FORU 340 (a larger version with higher capacity) and FORU 70 (a smaller version that can be handled by 2 people). These FORU systems can be located at strategic locations such as port areas or alongside inland rivers/waterways, so that the oil recovery can take place very quickly in case of an oil spill, minimising its negative effects.

A new certificate holder has joined Green Award – Seaven Tanker Management Inc.

Their first vessel the EVIAPETROL V has been surveyed and certified by Green Award.
