How to bring IMMATURE ideas to life?
Last Friday and Saturday, I had my very own stand at the FabCity area of the Future Flux Festival!
As part of a side-project I allowed people to use my HTC VIVE VR set and let them go mad in a room I created in Tilt Brush, Google's VR drawing program. The idea was to make conceptual buildings, in this case the The Dutch Windwheel, just a tad bit more real than it already was. In this room I attempted to sculpt that building, then allowed users to enter it. This meant that as soon as you put the VR glasses on, you'd be standing in front of a 17m. tall structure.
There are so many great ideas that could improve the environment we live in and I believe that the Dutch Windwheel could be one of them. That made me wonder: what if we could use VR to convince and inspire stakeholders of the fact that the project is worthwhile to invest in? What if we could make them feel how real ideas can become, simply by shaping them in VR?
In this small experiment I invited people to finish the structure and to become acquainted with the tool and software. The verdict? It was super successful and I had great interaction, response and input from the people who tried it out!

Thank you to Erhan Akin and Aletta for supporting me and my crazy ideas.
I never thought that expressing an idea I had, in two simple lines - upon ex*****on - would bring me back to the essence of my own company: bringing ideas to life.
