Groovido

Shaping icons by breaking the mold! In 2020, they joined forces to create GROOVIDO. Sharing this common vision, they have developed the identity of their studio.

Gianmaria Della Ratta & Giorgio Gasco first met in Eindhoven where they both attended the master's degree in Contextual Design at the Design Academy of Eindhoven. The design duo firmly believes that the digital culture is now part of us, and they want to participate in its evolution. They are both convinced of the impossibility of the digital world to prevail over the physical one and vice versa.

So, they are thrilled by the idea of creating content that revolves around the reciprocal influences between the two realms. The duo observes digital subcultures and with their projects they embrace and acknowledge the artistic ferment that the digital world produces, transforming it into products, through in-depth material research. They don’t define themselves only as designers or artists, but their practice and work are on the verge of both. They believe in the poetry and narrative power of things.
