Perspectivity

Perspectivity Perspectivity is a network of passionate professionals who build inspiring collaborations for sustain However, complexity has also increased significantly.

Within just a few generations, our world has changed profoundly. Our knowledge and technological capabilities have developed with exponential speed. This has given us an infinitely better understanding of – and greater influence on – the “hard” (material) as well the “soft” (behavioral) world around us. We obserce three interrelated phenomena defining social complexity:

1) A dramatic increase in

systemic complications – in the number, variety and interrelatedness of factors influencing local and global development.
2) Greater social diversity – in gender, religion, age, nationality, ethnicity etc. – of people involved in societal issues due to intensifying communication and mobility.
3) The fact that human activity is reaching its limits with regard to the available resources and ecological carrying capacity of our planet gives an acute feeling of global interdependence and puts extra pressure on global society. Perspectivity believes that this social complexity is here to stay and embraces it. Our Passion Code describes what Perspectivity stands for and what binds us; it is a reference for everything we do and the way we do it. You will find the Passion Code on our website.

Two weeks ago, Lisette Gast and María Peiró travelled to Bilbao for a very special reason: to give our first ever Lewis Deep Democracy training in Spanish! In it, they covered the fundamental theoretical bases and practical tools of this methodology. Together, the participants learned - among others - to observe and recognize the active roles in a group, to make decisions including the wisdom of the minority, and to figure out what is swimming in the group unconscious. They experienced the deeply moving power of this methodology, as well as celebrating (dance included) the hidden potential of the shark.

Our deepest gratitude to Maider Gorostidi for being the driving force behind this training and making sure everything went smoothly, and to Wikitoki (especially Iker Olabarria and Isabel Tomás) for warmly hosting us in their space.

Thank you to our participants for their energy and presence.

In November, Perspectivity facilitated a powerful Future Search workshop in Saly, Senegal, bringing together over 50 diverse stakeholders—from SME founders to education leaders—to co-create a shared vision and develop concrete action plans for inclusive growth.

What makes this project special is its strong focus on local ownership and cross-sector collaboration, enabling stakeholders to take responsibility for the future of their sector from within.

The result:
✔ An activated ecosystem
✔ Shared ambitions across sectors
✔ Collective ownership and momentum for change
This is what happens when you bring the whole system into one room.

The Perspectivity Public Health Challenge allows players to adopt a public health lens when making decisions and considering the trade-offs inherent in public health. It can be played by those with little or no experience of public health, even in high school settings all the way through to senior executives. The wide spectrum of players shows the potential for the learning to spread into everyday thinking.
