Recently Sick Plastic merged into Schroeder. A foundation and company that (among other great things) has 7 driftshops in the area of The Hague where people with a distance to the jobmarket can develop themselfs and help customers find secondhand stuff. At the Schroeder’s headquarters there is a woodwork-space where passionate people repair and upcycle old furniture into new furniture. And now plastic recycling is put in the mix! Have a look at .store.schroeder for an insight of the upcycled products 🙏

“I thought that we would make something from litter plastic and didn’t know we would learn so much about the big plastic problem and solutions and that it would be so super cool!”

Isn’t this sick?! Participants of The Hague Plastic Challenge made these beautiful bookmarks, keychains and coasters of a part of the sickening plastic that we caught with them in the canals and on the beach of The Hague and digged deep into the big plastic problem and solutions 🙌

We had so much fun and saved (animal)life at the same time!😄
