The Women's Business Initiative International (WBII) is a community of women business owners sharing knowledge and experience to learn and grow together. WHAT WE DO

We empower members to achieve their business goals through three channels:

1. Community Building

Running a business can feel lonely and isolating at times. By gathering an International community of female-led businesses, we offer an inspiring space to connect and collaborate with others who understand the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. Masterminds and Peer Support

Our Mastermind Groups provide an extra boost and dedicated working circle for members. These groups offer a unique opportunity to get valuable feedback on your latest projects and ideas, drawing from the collective wisdom of a group of like-minded women. The WBII Skill Shares are another way we support each other on a variety of topics related to our businesses.

3. Events and Social Activities

Our regular monthly events are a great opportunity to connect as well as increase our business knowledge around key topics relevant to both beginners and seasoned business owners. Each year the WBII designates a theme to focus our attention and events around. IMPACT is the theme for 2023. Our in-person and online events are open to both members and non-members. During the year, we also host occasional events to simply connect and gather socially. The WBII is based in The Hague but includes members from around the Netherlands. We are a women-only association with an inclusive definition of women, including trans women and any others who identify as a woman in a way that is significant to them. Since its establishment in 2006 as a Dutch not for profit foundation, close to 1000 women entrepreneurs from 30+ countries have actively participated in and benefited from this initiative.

Over the summer, six WBII members came together to form a new Mastermind Group, bringing together expertise from custom storage, Feng Shui, artisanal baking, event design, writing mentorship, and consulting.

There was some initial uncertainty about how such a diverse group would connect, but everyone quickly moved beyond introductions and into genuine collaboration.

A simple structure and clear ground rules created space for openness. The women shared their goals and made commitments for the next six weeks, giving them a focused way to support and hold each other accountable. Rather than simply networking, they made specific commitments - pairing up for creative sessions, offering feedback on projects, and agreeing to review each other’s work.

Everyone left with clear next steps and a sense of accountability.

Some chose ambitious business goals, while others focused on self-reflection and balance - a reminder that both approaches have value. Having the right people and the right structure made all the difference.

The group is looking forward to coming together again in four weeks.
