Opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese natural ingredients exporting SMEs after the Covid-19 pandemic.

ProFound - Advisers in Development consultant Geertje Otten and associate expert Miguel CAMACHO participated yesterday in a hybrid workshop (online and face-to-face) organised by Trung tâm Phát triển Kinh tế Nông thôn - CRED to discuss the challenges and opportunities for Vietnamese SMEs of natural ingredients after the pandemic.

The protracted Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected the export activities of Vietnamese companies. In order to help companies adapt to the new post-pandemic situation, Trung tâm Phát triển Kinh tế Nông thôn - CRED, in collaboration with the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency - Vietrade and the Swiss Imort Promotion Programme (SIPPO), co-organised this workshop. Geertje Otten gave a presentation with an Update of market trends and requirements for natural ingredients. There was also a lively discussion about the needs of companies and necessary support to adapt to the post-Covid era.

According to Geertje Otten from ProFound - Advisers in Development the meeting was a great opportunity to be in touch with the natural ingredient sector in Vietnam and she is looking forward to continue discussions with the different players.
