✳️ What is Searching and Replacing Raster and Vector objects in WiseImage and how does it works?

The search and replace operation can find vector or raster (monochrome and color) objects and replace them with any other vector or raster item. The operation can be applied to sets of vector objects.

The search and replace operation is performed using the Search and Replace window.

◾️ First it is necessary to specify, what templates should be found and with what are replaced.

For searching and replacing templates of single type the Classic tab is used. If it is necessary to operate with the complicated set of different types the SRTL tab is used.

How to select text in a raster image at one go, using
1.Searches in monochrome image for Text Areas and moves the found areas to a new raster image. The command can be applied to several images at once. To separate Text Areas:
2.Start the command from the Image menu or the toolbar.
3.Start the command from the Image menu or the toolbar.
4.Specify the Maximum Width and Text Height.
5.Set the ‘Text Orientation’ direction and ‘Overlapped Text’, and ‘Single Letters’ features to improve the text recognition quality.
6.To measure a raster object on the image, click the button and point at the object. The measured value is displayed in the corresponding box.
7.Enter a layer name to Layer, where the created image should be placed.
8.Specify a color of the created raster layer. Click on a color sample in Layer and select a color from the dialog.
9.Click Apply.

Dimension types in previous versions of nanoCAD Mechanica had some limitations:

- no dimension is possible to set to the spline;
- when placing a dimension on a polyline, the dimension text does not correspond to the length of the polyline;
- the ellipse (elliptical arc) can’t be dimensioned.

New dimension type was implemented. It is named "Offset dimension".
