Looking forward to our visit to ADT Baramati, from Wednesday 2 April until Monday 7 April. Together with our colleagues from ADT we will work on further developing our collaboration in research and education, connected to the Living Lab Climate Resilient Agriculture that we are foreseen in Baramati. It will be the first time that my colleague, Professor Euridice Leyequien will visit Baramati. She will introduce het professorship on Vital Agro-Landscapes.

Welcome to the 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯🧪 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 Baramati, India🌾. This week Jaap Vuijk, IDM-lecturer, is supporting 3 very bright Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences students of the International Development Management study, doing their internship and thesis projects. Today they visited the impressive Agricultural College Baramati and the Agri-Innovation Center (KVK). It's amazing how many different activities these institutes facilitate for and with farmers and their families.

The students will contribute to the LL by 1) Exploring and analysing people’s ‘risk landscape’ 2) Exploring institutions and the governance context and 3) Analysis of power force field and relations between stakeholders.

The Living Lab is platform in which all parties related to a challenge have an equal status. 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗚𝗢'𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼-𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The process is a catalysts in getting to know the viewpoints, interests and strength of the other stakeholders. In drought affected Maharashtra State this will help the increasing and more frequent issue of droughts and its related socio-economic consequences.

Het eindrapport van het werkpakket "Gebiedsgerichte aanpak voor verdienvermogen" van het Nationaal Regieorgaan Praktijkgericht Onderzoek SIA onderzoek "Cash naar de Kringloop" gereed. Een samenwerking tussen twee lectoraten van Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences en HAS green academy.
Vijf adviezen:
1. Werk vanuit een integraal toekomstperspectief in plaats van afzonderlijke beleidsdoelen.
2. Hanteer structurele beloningen in plaats van incidentele beloningen.
3. Kijk breed naar het gebiedsproces en betrek actoren uit alle relevante sectorale transities. Benut kansen uit al deze transities.
4. De beschikbaarheid en betaalbaarheid van grond is een kritische uitdaging om gebiedsopgaven op te lossen én om verduurzaming te realiseren.
5. Gezamenlijkheid en (lokale) identiteit kunnen een krachtige motor zijn voor oplossingen.

In dit project zoeken we kritische succesfactoren voor verdienvermogen van kringlooplandbouw en berekenen we de impact daarvan op het bedrijfsmodel.

Hogescholen bundelen krachten voor Duurzame Gebiedsprocessen

Op maandag 1 juli is een diverse groep gebiedsdeskundigen en docent-onderzoekers samengekomen voor de start van een nieuw praktijkonderzoek project naar duurzaam gebiedsgericht werken. Dit onderzoek wordt geleid door Hogeschool Van Hall Larenstein, in nauwe samenwerking met experts van HAS green academy Christelijke Hogeschool Ede - CHE Aeres University of Applied Sciences Inholland Delft en Stimuland.

Het project richt zich op de rol van gebiedsmanagers binnen gebiedsprocessen en onderzoekt hoe deze managers beter kunnen samenwerken met publieke stakeholders, zoals waterschappen, gemeenten en provincies. Naast praktijkcases in het veld wordt ook gekeken naar de institutionele voorwaarden die essentieel zijn om het handelingsperspectief van gebiedsmanagers te verbeteren.

Extra feestelijk is dat diezelfde middag de samenwerkingsovereenkomst tussen CoE-Groen en het ministerie van LNV werd ondertekend. Het onderzoeksproject sluit daarmee haarfijn aan bij de uitvoeringsagenda van de Regieorganisatie Transitie Landelijk Gebied (RTLG-LVVN).

This week, our delegation from VHL visited our partner ADT in Baramati. We were delighted to meet colleagues and friends again, and also many students eager to come to the Netherlands! We discussed strategy, made a design for our common Living Lab Climate Resilient AgroFood Systems and identified the focal themes for the Living Lab: methods for transition towards Regenerative Farms and Regions, Community Development and Value Chains. Furthermore we visited potential villages for the Living Labs. In september, students from VHL-IDM and Baramati Agricultural College wil start working on the Living Lab.
