Ledgnd presents MyLedgnd at the KNMI 🌦️🌱

Monday, we were invited to the KNMI during the KNMI Open Data & API Workshop 2026.

During this event, Maarten van Bemmel delivered a presentation on how we leverage KNMI weather data within MyLedgnd to help growers make better, more informed decisions.

Where greenhouse climate data has long been the foundation, we are now adding something essential: the ability to look ahead.

By integrating weather forecasts into the platform, growers can move beyond reacting and start anticipating:�👉 Fewer stress moments in the crop�👉 Better decisions based on both today and tomorrow�👉 More efficient energy use

As emphasized during the presentation: Data only creates value when it leads to actionable insights.

It’s great to see how open data and real-world applications come together to further advance greenhouse horticulture.

🚀 Meet our new colleague, René Vissers!

We are excited to welcome René Vissers to Ledgnd as our new Commercial Manager.

René brings a strong background in the horticulture sector, with a Bsc. Horticulture and a Post Graduate in Financial Management. Throughout his career he has gained extensive experience through his own business and various management roles, building a solid foundation in leadership, strategy and commercial growth.

Within Ledgnd, René will focus on strengthening the commercial strategy while supporting and leading the commercial team, contributing to the continued growth of the company and translating Ledgnd’s ambitions into concrete results.

René chose Ledgnd because of the company’s role in the dynamic world of greenhouse horticulture. With growers facing increasing challenges, data and knowledge are becoming essential for making the right decisions. René sees great value in helping entrepreneurs navigate these challenges and supporting them with the insights and tools they need for the future.

Outside of work, René enjoys playing golf and cooking, two hobbies he makes time for every week.

Twee dagen vol inspirerende gesprekken, nieuwe connecties en mooie ontmoetingen op onze stand. Tot de volgende editie!

We kijken terug op een zeer succesvolle editie van HortiContact 2026! 🌱

Tijdens de beurs hebben we veel waardevolle gesprekken gevoerd met telers, technologiepartners en andere professionals uit de sector. Op onze stand konden bezoekers kennismaken met het MyLedgnd-platform en zien hoe klimaatdata, sensoren en plantfeedback samenkomen in één dataplatform voor datagedreven telen.

Daarnaast mochten we ook veel nieuwe connecties verwelkomen en mooie gesprekken voeren over de transitie van climate control naar plant control. 🌿

En als kers op de taart wonnen we de prijs voor de meest geregistreerde beursbezoekers. Een mooie erkenning waar we trots op zijn! Bedankt Easyfairs en het team van HortiContact, en in het bijzonder Ger, voor de fijne samenwerking en de uitreiking van de prijs. Volgend jaar zijn we er natuurlijk weer bij! 😉

Dag 2 van HortiContact 2026 is begonnen! 🚀🌱

We zijn weer volop in bedrijf tijdens dag twee van HortiContact 2026.

Gisteren hebben we waardevolle gesprekken gevoerd over datagedreven telen, plantfeedback en de transitie van klimaatsturing naar écht sturen op plantreactie. Vandaag gaan we daar vol energie mee verder.

Bij Ledgnd geloven we dat data pas waarde krijgt wanneer deze
(1) betrouwbaar is én (2) direct vertaald kan worden naar concrete stuuracties.

Daarom laten we vandaag opnieuw zien hoe je de stap maakt van meten → begrijpen → sturen. Van ruwe kasdata naar gerichte optimalisatie van groei, kwaliteit en efficiëntie.

Ramon, Niels, Ruben, Rene, Ilona, Naomi, Jared, Kees en Stephan staan klaar om al je vragen te beantwoorden. Matthea, Joris Jordi en Maarten zijn er natuurlijk ook bij en gaan graag met je in gesprek op de beursvloer.
