How do you support the immune system—without overloading the cow?

In this video, AHV veterinary researcher Jan van Dijk explains the thinking behind the new Aspi formula and why immune modulation matters.

Cows face daily challenges. When infections occur, the immune system needs to respond—effectively, but in a balanced way.

🌿 That’s where phytogenic immunomodulation comes in.

Aspi trial results show longer-lasting temperature stability and fewer relapses

On Llyr Griffiths’ 500-cow dairy farm in Wales, frequent high-temperature alerts created uncertainty—especially when mastitis wasn’t the cause.

So they put two approaches side by side:
✅ Injectable anti-inflammatories
✅ Aspi boluses

Here’s what they saw in the barn:
- Injectables reduced temperature quickly… but often rebounded within 24 hours
- Aspi worked more gradually—but kept cows stable for longer
- Fewer repeated temperature spikes with Aspi
- Faster return to rumination and normal behavior

And as Llyr explains: healthy rumination and lying time are key drivers of milk production and fertility.

👉 Based on these results, Aspi is now becoming part of their herd health protocol.
