Following the announcement on 27 August of a letter of award, we are happy to announce the ex*****on of the related contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sendirian Berhad, along with a subcontract with X-Rig for the use of their modular combined drilling and hydraulic workover rig, X RIG. 💚
Under this project, we will manage the rig’s operation and maintenance, providing services such as engineering, project management, and equipment rental.
Together with X Rig, we have started the work of mobilising the Rig in preparation of its first drilling operation on one of the client’s offshore installations in Brunei waters.
🗨️ “This contract represents an important milestone where Odfjell Technology enters the modular drilling unit market, which we firmly believe will be important in the expected growth in slot recovery and plug and abandonment work,” says CEO of Odfjell Technology AS, Simen Lieungh.
