HMS Victory has always been one of my favourite subjects to paint — a ship with such presence and history that it keeps pulling me back. Over the years I’ve created four different Battle of Trafalgar compositions, each with its own mood and configuration, yet Victory has appeared in every single one. She’s the heart of the story.
All of my original Battle of Trafalgar paintings have been sold, but the demand for this theme never stopped. One of them was even licensed as the cover art for a novel by renowned American writer Craig DiLouie, which remains a milestone in my artistic journey.
