So you want to validate your idea.
Validating with the wrong target audience can be as costly as not validating at all. Understanding your audience and defining your ideal customer is the first step to validating your idea.
Ask yourself who your ideal customer would be and what problems they face. Be mindful of talking to friends or family as this could lead to feedback being biased, their feedback could lack objectivity and family and friends will often just want to please you.
Set up interviews so that you can speak directly to your target audience or create a landing page whereby you can elicit feedback from your audience.
The bottom line is when you validate with the right audience you will understand their needs and get an in depth look at how well your solution fits the problem you are trying to solve.
