Bake Cardamon Bunad Cookies for May 17th with this great recipe.

Ingredients
150 g butter
1 dl golden syrup
2 dl sugar
1 dl cream
450g flour
2 tsp ground cardamon
1 tsp baking powder
1. Place butter, syrup, and sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has completely melted.
2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in the cream.
3. Mix most of the flour with the cardamon and baking powder, and sift it into the mixture in 2-3 batches. Stir everything together to form a smooth dough. Let the dough cool overnight.
4. Sprinkle some flour on the table. Knead the dough and roll it out to about 3 mm thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out various shapes.
5. Bake the gingerbread cookies until they are golden brown at 175’C / 350’F for about 10 minutes. Be careful not to let them get too dark.
6. Use a spatula to gently transfer the gingerbread cookies to a rack and let them cool there. They become crispy only when they are completely cooled.
