Our neighbour Kenya attracted nearly half a billion dollars only in the first three months of 2022 through startup funding.

"Start-ups in Africa have raised over $1.8b in Q1 2022. The ‘Big Four’ still attract the vast majority of the funding ($1.5b, 83%), with Nigeria leading the way ($600m) followed by Kenya ($482m), South Africa ($228m)."

Ethiopia has a long way to go in building a strong startup economy. But understanding the nexus between entrepreneurship and Economic growth is the first step.
