🌟 Announcing the 2026 Changemaker Award nominees 🌟

We are excited to share the shortlist for IMPALA’s 2026 Changemaker Award, which recognises organisations making a meaningful impact on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the independent music sector.

Established in 2022 by IMPALA’s EDI taskforce, the award highlights initiatives driving lasting positive change across the industry 🌍

The winner will be announced later in May.

đź“Ł IMPALA kicks off with the launch of our new survey on equity, diversity and inclusion in the independent music sector. The aim is to provide insight into how the independent music sector deals with EDI issues, highlighting challenges, best practices, local developments and projects.

The survey is integrated into a new IMPALA EDI Toolkit for the independent music sector, which includes a self-assessment tool and a training platform. Participants get personalised recommendations based on their results, including training suggestions, case studies and practical guidance on how to bring about positive change step by step. The toolkit was developed with support from the EU 🇪🇺
