In Oslo, as in many cities, rivers have long been shaped by industry. Along Akerselva, this history is still present — but so is the potential for transformation.
In 2022, we teamed up with Multiconsult to develop a water strategy for Vulkan. A project that allowed us to explore how stormwater and flood challenges can become opportunities for better urban spaces.
This work was incredibly rewarding, and we’re still grateful to have been part of shaping this vision💧

We’re proud to share that, together with , we’ve been granted funding from Miljødirektoratet for an important project on Lindøya 🌿

The project focuses on landscape restoration and measures to protect nature — including combating invasive species — in Oslo (2026).

This is a meaningful step towards restoring valuable natural habitats and strengthening biodiversity on the island.

We’re incredibly excited to be part of this and look forward to getting started 💚

Breaking ground in Arendal 🪏

In 2024, we had the pleasure of winning the competition for Gard’s new headquarters in Arendal together with and

We are so proud and thankful to be part of this amazing team.

The new expansion at Varmekrogen will transform what was once a predominantly car-used, grey and hard-surfaced site into a generous green waterfront landscape. Reused paving, native planting, and new public spaces will create a vibrant and accessible harbor environment.

From harbor promenade and park areas to rooftop landscapes supporting biodiversity and social life — this project aims to strengthen the connection between architecture, nature, and the coastal landscape🍀🌼

Linn recently served as a jury member for the invited architecture competition for Nils Hansens vei 9–11 at Bryn East in Oslo, commissioned by Bertel O. Steen and organized by

Three strong teams delivered proposals. After a four-month evaluation process, the jury unanimously selected “Ready Clay One” by and as the winning project.

The proposal stood out for its clear ambitions for landscape and architecture, a balanced scale, and a simple yet varied architectural concept that creates strong housing qualities.

Thank you to for a well-run process and to for appointing Linn to the jury.

Congratulations to and — we look forward to following the development of the project at Bryn🌟

How can learning, research, public engagement and marine restoration work as one connected system?🌊

In this feasibility study, we explored Oslo Fjordskole’s ambition to build a national framework for Ocean Literacy — rooted in the Oslo Fjord and scalable across Scandinavia.

Through systems-oriented design and collaborative workshops, we mapped key actors, identified gaps, and uncovered one clear need: stronger coordination. Ocean Literacy emerged as the unifying concept — linking knowledge, awareness and action.

The vision positions Oslo Fjordskole as both a hands-on learning arena for children and youth, and a strategic hub connecting academia, policy and community initiatives.

OKL:UNG (Oslo Artwalk Youth) ✨
A youth-driven art project shaping a new kind of art walk through Oslo — created with young people, for young people.

From 2020–2021, Edit led the project together with , in close collaboration with Art in Kvadraturen and with support from DNB Sparebankstiftelsen. The shared goal was simple but ambitious: to lower the threshold into the art world and make galleries and cultural spaces more connected, welcoming, and relevant to a younger generation.

OKL:UNG is about breaking down barriers between youth and the city’s art institutions — reimagining how contemporary art is experienced, who it speaks to, and who gets to shape it. At its core, the project is about ownership, inclusion, and visibility: giving young people a real voice in Oslo’s cultural life and the public spaces they move through every day.

This journey has generated powerful insights, ideas, and material — and we’re excited about what comes next.
The next chapter might be closer than you think 👀

Participation begins with listening👂
It’s not easy — and it shouldn’t be. Strong projects are shaped through an ongoing exchange between designers and users: listening, responding, and moving back and forth together.
There is no single right way to take part. What matters is meeting people where they are — and shaping the process to fit both place and community.
We’ve had truly eye-opening experiences along the way, and the moments that can be shared are often the ones that stay with us the longest. For a designer, nothing is more rewarding than a shared process — listening, and using the tools of landscape architecture and urbanism to translate people’s voices into drawings. When you show them their input on paper, you can see it: the sparkle in their eyes, the smiles, the nodding heads — moments you carry with you forever🌟🌱

Happy New Year — edit is back in the office, diving into the archive💫

In 2019, we were selected to participate in the Oslo Architecture Triennale where we explored the broken global food system. Then as now, food accounts for 20–30% of human-made greenhouse gas emissions—a system in urgent need of change.

Through interviews with Oslo-based food pioneers—from rooftop growers to hydroponic farms—we uncovered the need for a more local, circular, and resilient food cycle. Together with textile designer and researcher .bagander , we translated these insights into an exhibition exploring food, material, and storytelling.

The city needs a new diet.
New recipes.
New stories.

So—what’s your food story? 🌎

Two weeks ago, we shared the news about winning the competition for the new museum and theatre in Stavanger🌟

Our proposal, “Etter Eckhoff – Mellom trær, bygg og by” (After Eckhoff – Between trees, buildings and city), builds on Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff’s original plans and the historic landscape designed by gartner Paul Holst Poulsson, transforming the area into an open and vibrant destination for the whole city🌱

The design restores key elements of the historic park, re-establishing terraces, paths, and spatial sequences while preserving the site’s topography and natural character. All significant existing trees are retained, allowing the mature canopy to continue shaping the identity of Kannikhøyden.

New connections follow the terrain and strengthen the relationship between theatre, museum, and city. A shared foyer links the historic buildings, while carefully integrated new volumes ensure the park and its heritage structures remain the defining features.

Our approach transforms Kannikhøyden into an open, vibrant cultural landscape — shaped by its past, grounded in the present, and prepared for the future.

We look forward to bringing this vision to life together with our fantastic partners:
