Earlier this week, in connection with the European Robotics Forum in Stavanger, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of participants for a company visit 🤖

The session included a company presentation, where we shared insights into our operations and showcased selected project work through video, followed by a guided tour of our facilities and workshop 🙌

It was a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives and demonstrate how we approach engineering, production, and delivery in practice.

Team spotlight: Håvard Krokvik 🌟

From ROV Pilot/Technician to Operational Solutions Lead, Håvard Krokvik has taken on many roles at Stinger Technology — both offshore and onshore. 🌊

Offshore, he works as an ROV Supervisor or Inspector, overseeing safe operations, piloting the ROV, coordinating with clients, and carrying out subsea inspections.
Onshore, he contributes to 3D CAD design, system improvements, operational planning, prototyping, and inspection reporting.

Håvard holds a Higher Professional Degree in Petroleum; Drilling from Fagskolen Rogaland and is currently studying Mechatronics part-time at Fagskolen Viken 🎓

What he enjoys most about working at Stinger:
“The variation in tasks and the opportunity to continuously be challenged and develop new skills.”

Outside work, he enjoys building drones, working with 3D printers, and technical projects.

It has been a great event connecting with industry colleagues, partners, and new contacts from across the subsea and ocean technology community. 👥

A special thank you to BlueLogic for the collaboration and for hosting Stinger Technology at their stand during the exhibition. 🙌

An ROV integrated with their equipment was on display, creating a great conversation piece and an opportunity to discuss how integrated technologies can support real operational challenges and future subsea solutions.

The name Stinger came from a drive to build something compact, agile, and precise. While working on real industry challenges, our founder, Bjarte, saw a clear truth: bigger and heavier solutions were driving cost, complexity, and inefficiency.

The industry needed something smaller, lighter, and more precise. 🎯

The first analogy was a mosquito, something you don’t notice until it makes an impact. That idea evolved into the stinger: a small, focused point that delivers efficiently.

And since Stinger Technology serves the offshore and subsea industries, we aligned ourselves with the stingray. 🌊

Stinger Technology awarded Master Service Agreement with bp.

Stavanger, Norway – September 15, 2025 – Stinger Technology AS is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with bp for operations in the North Sea. The three-year agreement, effective from September 15, 2025, includes options for two additional one-year extensions.

This agreement marks a significant milestone for Stinger Technology and reflects the trust placed in the company’s innovative technology and dedicated team. Stinger’s mini ROV system deliver work-class capabilities in a compact and highly mobile format, designed to be deployed efficiently from both fixed and floating installations without the need for existing infrastructure.

Bjarte Langeland, Chief Executive Officer of Stinger Technology AS said “Our systems and skilled crews have consistently demonstrated safety, efficiency, and value in challenging offshore environments. We look forward to supporting bp’s operations and contributing to safe and reliable performance in the North Sea.”

The MSA represents an important step in Stinger Technology’s growth journey, building on a track record of delivering extraordinary results in 2025.
