संघमा माननीय सांसद्हरुलाई स्वागत गरी छलफल
आज मिति २०८३ बैशाख १५ गते, मंगलबार, निजी क्षेत्रका आवश्यकता, समस्या तथा सुझावहरु नजिकबाट बुझ्ने उद्देश्यका साथ मोरङ उद्योग व्यापार संघमा पाल्नु भएका प्रतिनिधि सभाका सांसद्ज्यूहरुको टोलीलाई संघले स्वागत गरी भेटघाट गरेको छ ।
संघका अध्यक्ष अनुपम राठीको सभापतित्वमा महासचिव संजय कुमार श्रेष्ठद्वारा संचालित उक्त कार्यक्रममा प्रतिनिधि सभाकी सांसद् एवं राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीको केन्द्रीय समितिकी कोषाध्यक्ष माननीय लिमा अधिकारी (आचार्य)ज्यू सहित प्रतिनिधि सभाका सांसद्हरु, माननीय लाल विक्रम थापा, माननीय यज्ञमणि न्यौपाने, माननीय सन्तोष राजवंशी, माननीय आशा झा लगायतको टोलीलाई स्वागत गरी भेटघाट तथा छलफल गरेको थियो ।
कार्यक्रममा स्वागत मन्तव्य दिँदै अध्यक्ष राठीले हालै सम्पन्न प्रतिनिधि सभा निर्वाचनमा उल्लेखनीय सफलता हासिल गरी नेपालको महत्वपूर्ण राजनीतिक परिवर्तनको प्रतीक स्वरुप गठन भएको नयाँ सरकारका माननीय सांसदहरु संघमा पाल्नु भएकोमा खुसी व्यक्त गर्दै वहाँहरुलाई स्वागत गरी बधाई तथा सफल कार्यकालको शुभकामना दिनु भएको थियो ।
साथै वहाँले देशको आर्थिक विकास, लगानी प्रवद्र्धन, रोजगारी सिर्जना तथा औद्योगिक वातावरण सुधारका लागि निजी क्षेत्रका आवश्यकता, समस्या तथा सुझावहरु नजिकबाट बुझ्ने उद्देश्यले ७५ वर्षको ईतिहास बोकेको मुलुककै पहिलो उद्योग वाणिज्य संघ एवं निजी क्षेत्रको नेतृत्वदायी संस्था मोरङ उद्योग व्यापार संघमा पाल्नु भएकोमा माननीयज्यूहरुलाई आभार प्रकट गर्नु भई निजी क्षेत्रका उद्योगी–व्यवसायीहरुप्रति माननीयज्यूहरुको सकारात्मक सोच, सहिष्णुता र चासोका लागि कृतज्ञता व्यक्त गर्नु भएको थियो ।
सोही क्रममा वहाँले नेपालको वर्तमान सरकार नयाँ सोच, युवा नेतृत्व र परिवर्तनको आशासँग गठन भएको सरकार रहेकाले देशको आर्थिक विकास, लगानी प्रवद्र्धन, रोजगारी सिर्जना तथा औद्योगिक वातावरण सुधारका कार्यहरुमा सरकारलाई सहकार्य गर्न संघ सदा झैँ तत्पर रहेको बताउनु भएको थियो । साथै संघले समसामयिक आर्थिक, औद्योगिक तथा व्यावसायिक मुद्दाहरुमा गर्ने छलफल तथा निजी क्षेत्रका आवाजहरुलाई माननीयज्यूहरुले नीति निर्माणको तहसम्म पु¥याउन महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निर्वाह गर्नु हुने विश्वास प्रकट गर्नु भएको थियो ।
सोही अवसरमा अध्यक्ष राठीले सरकारले खुल्ला सीमा क्षेत्रका अवैध कारोबार नियन्त्रण गर्नु पर्ने, आयात गर्नै पर्ने कम्तिमा ४८ वटा दैनिक उपभोग्य वस्तुहरुको भन्सार दर न्यून गर्नु पर्ने, स्वदेशी उद्योग र बजारलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्नु पर्ने, बहुदरको मु.अ.कर प्रणाली अवलम्बन गर्नु पर्ने, आर्थिक, फौजदारी लगायतका कसुरहरु छुट्याई थुन्ने र सुन्ने नीति छुट्याइनु पर्ने, विभिन्न मुलुकहरुसँग अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय व्यापारिक सम्झौताहरु बढाउनु पर्ने, श्रमिक सम्झौता सँगै व्यापारिक सम्झौता पनि लागू गर्नु पर्ने, औद्योगिक नगरी विराटनगरमा औद्योगिक प्रदर्शनी स्थल, पर्यटन र खेलकुदका पूर्वाधारहरु निर्माण गर्नु पर्ने, मोरङ–सुनसरी औद्योगिक कोरिडोरको बढ्दो मानव वस्तीलाई ध्यानमा राखी बेग्लै औद्योगिक कोरिडोर निर्माण गर्नु पर्ने लगायतका सुझावहरु दिनु भएको थियो ।
कार्यक्रममा संघका निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष एवं नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका केन्द्रीय सदस्य नवीन रिजाल, संघका पूर्व अध्यक्षहरु पवन कुमार सारडा र खेमचन्द जैन, वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष अनिल कुमार साह लगायतले समेत आ–आफ्ना सुझावहरु दिँदै सरकारले पर्यटन व्यवसायको विस्तार गर्नु पर्ने, जलविद्यूत उत्पादनमा जोड दिनु पर्ने, उद्योगका लागि जग्गा व्यवस्थापन गर्नु पर्ने, सरकारी काम कारवाही भ्रष्टचारमुक्त हुनु पर्ने आदि सुझावहरु दिनुका साथै माननीय सांसद्ज्यूहरुलाई आगामी आर्थिक वर्ष २०८३÷०८४का लागि अर्थ मन्त्रालय समक्ष संघद्वारा प्रस्तुत गरिएका सुझावहरु सम्बोधन गराउन पहल गर्न अनुरोध गरिएको थियो ।
कार्यक्रममा मोरङ उद्योग व्यापार संघका पूर्व अध्यक्षहरु, विभिन्न संघ–संस्थाका अध्यक्षज्यू तथा प्रतिनिधिहरु, विभिन्न वस्तुगत संघका अध्यक्ष तथा प्रतिनिधिज्यू, मोरङ उद्योग व्यापार संघका पदाधिकारीहरु, कार्यसमिति सदस्यहरु, महिला उद्यम समिति र युवा उद्यम समितिका संयोजकहरु, उद्योगी–व्यवसायीहरु, सञ्चारकर्मीहरु लगायतको उल्लेख्य उपस्थिति रहेको थियो भने राष्ट्रीय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीको प्रदेश, जिल्ला र महानगरका विभिन्न पद तथा जिम्मेवारीमा रहनु भएका प्रमुख एवं प्रतिनिधिहरुको समेत सहभागिता रहेको थियो ।

Discussion Program Held at the Chamber Welcoming Honorable Members of Parliament
On Tuesday, 15 Baisakh 2083 (April 28, 2026), a team of Honorable Members of the House of Representatives visited the Morang Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the objective of closely understanding the needs, problems, and suggestions of the private sector. The Chamber welcomed the delegation and held an interaction program.
The program, chaired by Chamber President Anupam Rathi and conducted by General Secretary Sanjay Kumar Shrestha, was attended by Honorable Member of Parliament Mrs. Lima Adhikari (Acharya), who is also the Treasurer of the Central Committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, along with Honorable MPs Lal Bikram Thapa, Yagyamani Neupane, Santosh Rajbanshi, Asha Jha, and others.
In his welcome remarks, President Rathi expressed his happiness at the presence of the Honorable MPs at the Chamber and congratulated them on their notable success in the recent House of Representatives elections, which symbolize an important political transformation in Nepal. He extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.
He further expressed gratitude to the Honorable MPs for visiting the Morang Chamber of Commerce and Industry—Nepal’s first chamber of commerce with a 75-year history and a leading private sector institution—with the purpose of understanding the needs, challenges, and recommendations of the private sector related to economic development, investment promotion, employment generation, and improvement of the industrial environment. He also appreciated their positive outlook, tolerance, and interest toward the private sector.
On the occasion, he stated that the current government, formed with new thinking, young leadership, and hopes for change, presents an opportunity for economic transformation. He assured that the Chamber remains committed, as always, to collaborating with the government in areas such as economic development, investment promotion, job creation, and industrial environment improvement. He also expressed confidence that the Honorable MPs would play a vital role in conveying the voices of the private sector to the policy-making level.
During the program, President Rathi put forward several key suggestions, including:
- Controlling illegal trade in open border areas
- Reducing customs duties on at least 48 essential imported goods
- Promoting domestic industries and markets
- Implementing a multi-rate VAT system
- Separating legal provisions for economic and criminal offenses
- Expanding international trade agreements with various countries
- Implementing trade agreements alongside labor agreements
- Developing infrastructure such as an industrial exhibition center, tourism, and sports facilities in Biratnagar
- Establishing a separate industrial corridor considering the growing population in the Morang–Sunsari industrial corridor
Similarly, Immediate Past President of the Chamber and Central Member of FNCCI, Naveen Rijal, along with Past Presidents Pawan Kumar Sarda and Khemchand Jain, Senior Vice President Anil Kumar Shah, and others also shared their views. They emphasized the need to expand the tourism sector, promote hydropower generation, manage land for industries, and ensure corruption-free government operations. They also requested the Honorable MPs to facilitate the incorporation of the Chamber’s recommendations submitted to the Ministry of Finance for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.
The program witnessed the presence of former presidents of the Chamber, heads and representatives of various organizations, leaders and representatives of commodity associations, office bearers and executive members of the Chamber, coordinators of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee and Youth Entrepreneurs Committee, industrialists, businesspersons, journalists, and others. Additionally, key representatives from the provincial, district, and metropolitan levels of the Rastriya Swatantra Party were also in attendance.
