Notes on Meeting with AHC:

- 50% higher visa lodgment than before COVID

- Few Interview of Nepalese students - satisfactory

- No particular concern about Nepal at the moment. Increase on Land sale documents has raised the question of genuineness.

- VFS Biometric slot being increased.

- Increase in medical test facilities may take time.

- Delay in getting PID’s are being addressed.

- Signing a Common Code of Conduct is proposed by AHC. Will update on it soon.

📢𝗠𝗔𝗝𝗢𝗥 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗔 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘!!!

According to the new rules coming into effect from July this year, international students on SC 500 visa, will not be allowed to change their course of study, or research topic, unless approved by the Minister.

It applies to you if you are studying courses such as

🔹 graduate certificate
🔹 graduate diploma
🔹 master’s degree
🔹 doctorate, or
🔹 any bridging course required as a prerequisite to a course of study or research for a master’s degree or doctorate

The changes would also allow the cancellation of a visa where the Minister is satisfied that there is an unreasonable risk of unwanted transfer of critical technology by the visa hold

The department has added new visa conditions, 8204A and 8204B, to the student visa holders where the applicant is studying a higher education course or postgraduate research course and intends to change their course of study, thesis or research topic.
