🌄 Tilicho Lake Trek: A Journey to Remember
Dashain is here, and so is the trekking season. It takes me back two years when I, along with four friends, set out for one of the most thrilling journeys of our lives — the Tilicho Lake Trek.
🚙 From Kathmandu, we drove to Besisahar in our own vehicle and then took a jeep to Chame. That’s where the adventure truly began.
🏔️ Day 1: Stayed overnight in Chame, surrounded by chilly winds and mountain vibes.
🏔️ Day 2: Trekking towards Lower Pisang, we crashed at the famous Bob Marley Hotel — music, laughter, and mountain air created the perfect mood.
🏔️ Day 3: Started at 6 AM sharp, stopped at Humde for food, and reached Manang by evening. The views were unreal.
🏔️ Day 4: The climb from Manang to Tilicho Base Camp tested us — especially the steep uphill at Shree Kharka. Legs were burning, but spirits were high.
🏔️ Day 5: At 3 AM, we started the push. By 8 AM, we were standing at the world’s highest-altitude lake — Tilicho Lake. Cold winds, shining peaks, and the still blue waters… it felt like another world.
But the best part? Along the way, we met so many amazing souls — some Nepali, some foreigners. Trekking together, sharing stories, encouraging each other on tough climbs, and laughing over tea breaks — those bonds made the journey priceless. Even today, we’re still connected, sharing memories from that trail. 🌍💙
🏔️ After Tilicho, we returned to Khangsar for the night, then a jeep ride to Besisahar, and finally back to Kathmandu. In just 7 days, we collected memories of a lifetime.
✨ Trekking isn’t just about reaching the destination — it’s about the people you meet, the struggles you overcome, and the moments that stay with you forever. Tilicho gave us all of that and more.
So, if you’re planning a trek this Dashain, take the leap. The mountains are calling, and trust me — the journey will change you.
