CSIR CBRI Roorkee Celebrates a Milestone Achievement!!!!!

5 Jan 2024. CSIR-CBRI feels proud today that Hon’ble Dr S Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs, GOI and Mr Narayan Prasad Saud, Foreign Minister, GON has jointly inaugurated Nepal’s biggest Tribhuvan University Central Library, 25 schools and 32 hospitals. The facilities were part of post earthquake reconstruction program undertaken by CSIR-CBRI in Education and Health Sectors in Nepal. This auspicious day marked the beginning of a new era of educational and healthcare excellence, under Post-Earthquake Reconstruction Program in Nepal funded by Government of India.

The event was attended by the dignitaries from Embassy of India in Kathmandu; CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee; Ministry of Health and Education, GoN; Tribhuvan University; CLPIU – Education and Buildings. The event was also witnessed by the presence of beneficiaries from completed projects, showcasing the impact of our collective efforts on the community.

CSIR CBRI has played a pivotal role in completing 70 schools, 1 library project, and 50 health sector projects. These structures along with basic facilities were planned, designed with disaster resilience in mind, and conducted strict construction monitoring which stands as a testament to commitment to engineering excellence.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the stakeholders involved in Education and Health Sector projects in Nepal, as these projects signify a step forward in the mission to create a positive impact on society strengthening the bonds between India & Nepal.

24 Dec 2023 . We were truly honored to have had the distinguished presence of His Excellency Mr. Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal, at the Tribhuvan University Central Library Project Site last week.

The much-anticipated Tribhuvan University Central Library Project has reached its completion, and the grand inauguration is scheduled for the first week of January 2024.

During his visit, HE Ambassador Mr. Naveen Srivastava took a detailed tour of the completed project site and shared his insights and perspectives and we are grateful for his guidance and encouragement.

We are excited about the positive impact the Central Library will have on the academic landscape, fostering knowledge, and providing a state-of-the-art facility for students and scholars alike.

14 December 2023. Mr. Prasanna Srivastava, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India visited Tribhuvan University Central University (TUCL) site on 14th December 2023 along with other senior officials from Embassy of India. Also attended by Dr. Shivalal Bhusal, VC TU, rector TU, other TU officials & CLPIU(Education).

The newly built Central Library building at Tribhuvan University is expected to be inaugurated soon.

10th November 2023. It gives us immense joy & pride to announce completion of construction works at Tribhuvan University Central Library (TUCL) at Kathmandu. All the items have been executed as mentioned in the DPR BOQ & Specifications & subsequent variation items. In this regards, a joint visit to the site was carried out today by major stakeholders comprising of donor partner Embassy of India officials, Govt of Nepal Implementation Agency CLPIU (Edu), Cental Library Tribhuvan University officials & the Project Management Comsultant. After the visit, the officals expressed satisfaction over the completion.

While some extra items/features have been requested by TUCL officials to be included in the project, it will be processed as per the approval procedure in the coming days & Formalities for handing over of the building to the Trbhuvan University will be completed soon.

With the completion of the TUCL project, we have achieved the grand milestone of completion of construction of all the 71 education post reconstruction projects being built under the Govt of India grant assistance. Our gratitude to each and everyone who has contributed to the success of the Education project & big thanks to Dr. Ajay Chourasia ji and entire team at CSIR CBRI Roorkee!!!!!!
