Our office and one of our workshops in Kathmandu is a 10-minute drive from one of the most ancient and revered sacred sites in Nepal and in the world, the Swayambhunath temple center.

The central stupa is oriented to the sides of the world with an offset of 60 degrees, a reference to the shift in the Earth's poles in ancient times.

There are several Buddhist monasteries and a Hindu sanctuary within the complex, and the slopes of the mountain on which the complex stands are home to many wild monkeys.
