Delighted to have participated at the DIGO Hospitality Exchange 2026 тАУ Connecting Hotels with Sustainability Solutions in Pokhara. The event was organized by the Hotel Association Pokhara in collaboration with United Community Nepal supported Swisscontact. This event brought together hotel owners, operators, decision makers and sustainability solution providers with a common interest on how to make tourism more responsible, resilient and future ready.

Water is fundamental to every hotel operation from guest rooms and F&B to laundry, housekeeping and landscape management. As a water intensive sector, hospitality also has an important role to play in reducing unnecessary consumption, managing water responsibly and protecting the resources on which destinations like Pokhara depend.
Our expectation from the hospitality sector is not to stop using water, but to use it responsibly, reduce wastage, harvest rainwater, and where possible-recharge.
Equally encouraging was the opportunity to connect with fellow sustainability service providers. No single solution can make tourism resilient. Collaboration among hotels, solution providers, communities and other stakeholders is essential to turn sustainability from an aspiration into practical action.
