With unemployment at 47%, too many Nepalis are stuck in an enslaving cycle of poverty that leaves them extremely vulnerable to exploitation and human trafficking. At Purnaa, we are on a mission: to empower individuals and communities to become whole, complete and resilient. A little reminder for Nepal. 🇳🇵

A month on from the floods, communities across Nepal are still working to recover and rebuild. While the immediate response has slowed, there is still a long road ahead.

Recently, we sent “Nepal Rebuilds” caps with Change Action Nepal for volunteers supporting the recovery on the ground. We’re also continuing to raise funds through our Children First campaign with Happy Minds Foundation, helping provide counselling and support for children affected by the floods.

We've joined the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs).

The WEPs are seven principles established by UN Women and the UN Global Compact to guide businesses in advancing gender equality.

Empowering people has always been central to our work. For many women on our team, that starts with dignified work, equal opportunities, and support to learn and build fulfilling lives.

Many of the principles are already part of daily life at Purnaa, from skills training and education to employee well-being and room for women to grow within the company.

Joining WEPs gives us a framework to strengthen this work, learn from others, and keep improving.

13 years of Purnaa, in one word from our team. ❤️

We asked our staff a simple question: what's one word to describe Purnaa? Their answers say more than we ever could.

For us, these years have been about more than what we make; they've been about the people behind it, and the reason we started: creating fair, dignified work for people who need it.

There have been tough moments and proud ones, and a lot in between. Today, that journey has grown to over 300+ employees who've built a livelihood with us.
