Purnaa was founded with a simple intention: to create fair opportunities for those facing disadvantage, and to manufacture products with care and consistency.

The values behind that, justice, love, integrity, excellence, and beauty, continue to shape how we work today.

Every two weeks, we pause production for “Values Time”. It’s a space to reflect on how these values show up in practice, in our work, our relationships, and the small decisions we make each day.

Through conversations and simple activities, we explore:
– how we work together
– how we make decisions
– how we grow, individually and as a team

As one team member shared: “I like everything we learn about in Values Time. It helps me think differently about how I treat others and how I show up in my work. I wouldn’t have that opportunity anywhere else.”

We’re still learning what it means to live these values well, and this is one way we try to keep them present in our work.

Happy International Labour Day from all of us at Purnaa!

International Labour Day is more than a date, it’s a reminder of the struggles, progress, and ongoing fight for dignity, fairness, and respect in work across the world.

At Purnaa, this isn’t something we celebrate once a year, it’s what we build every day. From fair wages and safe, supportive working environments, to long-term opportunities for growth, we are committed to creating work that uplifts, not exploits.

Our office will be closed today in honour of International Labour Day. We’ll be back up and running on Monday!

Today marks the final day of the Freedom Business Forum (FBF) 2026 in Bali.

Over the past few days, this global forum has brought together organizations, ethical businesses, and changemakers dedicated to survivor empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. It has been a powerful space for networking and cross-sector learning, where best practices are shared to create real, lasting impact.

Through engaging panel discussions and meaningful conversations at our display stall, we’ve been part of an inspiring exchange focused on building safe, healing-centered workplaces. A highlight was meeting one of our partners, Crossroads, in person, further strengthening our shared commitment to ethical business practices.
