The company is dedicated to do research, develop and promote productive end- uses of energy. NEG has successfully installed MHOLI System in one community in Mahadevsthan VDC- 2 in Dhading in 2012 and another similar technology in Mahadevsthan VDC- 1 and Baireni VDC- 1 both in Dhading district in 2013 with the financial and technical support of World Bank and UNDP supported program-Rural Energy f
or Rural Livelihoods (RERL). The total land irrigated from these schemes is 1.5 ha up to 3 ha. In the sites, mixture of drip (sub-surface) and sprinkler (above surface) irrigation technologies are promoted as per the need of the crops. In all the cases, cash crops mostly vegetables are grown for 3 seasons around the year replacing thatch, buck gram and millet. Additionally, NEG has prepared and submitted Sustainable Implementation Framework manual of MHOLI in RERL/AEPC in October 2012. Not only authorities (RERL/AEPC) but also Lift Irrigation Users' Group and Committee (LIUG) have greatly benefitted from this manual and have utilized it to the fullest. It is the only company with experience in MHOLI in Nepal as all the persons involved in earlier installations established this company.
