The real meaning of Mahuwa Mission 2026 is seen in the hands of the people planting.

Women, youth, community forest users, local stakeholders and our partners came together to plant Mahuwa saplings and contribute to the restoration of our native forests.

2,000 Mahuwa saplings were planted as part of this initiative, with the saplings provided by Mahuwa Wines & Beverages Pvt. Ltd.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who participated, supported, coordinated, and worked alongside us in the field.

This is not just about planting trees today. It is about growing forests, protecting biodiversity, supporting communities, and creating a greener future.

Mahuwa Mission 2026 | From Nursery to Community Forest

The journey of a Mahuwa tree begins long before it is planted.

From loading and transporting the saplings to the field, to gathering with the community and discussing the plantation plan—every step is a shared effort.

For this plantation, Mahuwa saplings were provided by Mahuwa Wines & Beverages Pvt. Ltd., with the support and coordination of our partners, Community Forest User Groups, forest officials, local communities, women, and youth.

Thank you to everyone who joined the effort and helped turn the plan into action.

The saplings have arrived. Now the work begins. 🌱

🌱 Mahuwa Mission 2026 | 2,000 Mahuwa Saplings Planted

On August 5, 2,000 Mahuwa (Madhuca longifolia) saplings were planted at Pandaveshwor Community Forest User Group, Ghorahi, Dang, as part of Mahuwa Mission 2026.

Mahuwa Wines & Beverages Pvt. Ltd.

The plantation program was jointly organized by Green Foundation Nepal, Green Intelligence, and Pandaveshwor Community Forest User Group, with coordination and support from the Ambikeshwori Forest Sub-Division Office, Local Federation of Forest Users Nepal (FECOFUN) Ghorahi, and Mahuwa Wines & Beverages Pvt. Ltd.

The broader plantation included fruit and multipurpose species, contributing to forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, forest-based enterprise development, and sustainable livelihoods for local communities.

We sincerely thank all the organizers, government representatives, forest user groups, community members, partners, and volunteers for their valuable support and participation.

🌱 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐮𝐰𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 | 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝

Today marks an important milestone in 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐮𝐰𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 as we successfully planted 1,500 native 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐮𝐰𝐚 (Madhuca longifolia) saplings at Ameliya Community Forest, Dang.

This plantation program was carried out in coordination with Mahuwa Wines & Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Green Foundation Nepal, and Ameliya Community Forest, in the presence of Mr. Ghanshyam Pandey (Chairperson, GFN Nepal), Mr. Ganesh Khadka (Chief, Division Forest Office, Lamahi), Mr. Hari Bhusal (District Chairperson, FECOFUN), Mr. Mohan Mishra (Sub-Division Forest Office), Mr. Purna Bahadur Basnet (Local FECOFUN), Mr. Suresh Rawot Enterprise Officer, Dang), Dipak Pariyar (Facilitator) and representatives from the Area Police Office, Ameliya, Community Forest User Group members, and local community members.

We sincerely thank all our partners, supporters, stakeholders, and volunteers whose collaboration made this initiative possible.

Together, we are restoring native forests, strengthening community forestry, and building a greener future for Nepal-one Mahuwa tree at a time.

Our team has successfully loaded 5,000+ native Mahuwa saplings from the Division Forest Office (DFO) – Deukhuri, Lamahi. These saplings will soon be planted across Community Forests in Amiliya and Tulsipur, Dang.
