Vox Pops! Meet Refresh Renovations North Shore - Jake Larkin & Sian Larkin , where homeowners across the North Shore get their renovation managed from first idea to final handover. He also recently joined our chapter's leadership team as our Visitor Host.

Jake is the person who sits down at your kitchen table and works out what's actually possible, and he brings that same calm, practical approach to our BNI chapter.

He also really likes leopards.

If you're looking for a renovation that goes beyond simply changing spots, talk to Jake. If you're keen to connect with people who know how to build things properly, come along as a visitor to our Goal Achievers BNI chapter in Albany.

Vox Pops! Meet Bob Quaid, from The EcoPro Cleaning Co., where offices across Auckland get a genuinely green clean. The business has been going since 1974 and is 100% Kiwi family owned, run these days by Bob and his wife Anne.

Bob's usually the first friendly face EcoPro's clients meet, and he brings that same easy, down to earth energy to our chapter.

His favourite cake is a black forest, and it turns out he's very handy with a throwing axe. Make of that what you will.

Recently our BNI Goal Achievers chapter descended upon the Sweet Axe Throwing Co. for a social event. Networking for us is about more than just business, it's building relationships with each other as people as well. And what better way to do that than with weapons and a little friendly rivalry?

We had a great night filled with laughter, healthy competition, and in the end the top prize went to none other than our chapter President, Craig Shepherd. Second place went to Wayne Luke of Smart Installations, with third place going to Bob Quaid from Eco Pro Cleaning.

Vox Pops! This is Gaelene Adams Love from Team Fusion International Ltd, and she is a founding member of our Goal Achievers chapter. She’s the kind of person who makes business feel a little brighter, a whole lot more fun, all while making sure that things get done.

Behind the warmth and the laughs, Gaelene helps award-winning businesses, couples in business together, and individual owners face a bigger truth: when your business starts taking more than it gives, it becomes the mistress in your relationship. She helps you escape the Money, Time and Freedom Trap™ and build a business that fuels your relationship and your life, instead of draining it.

She is also hilarious, and calls it exactly like she sees it.

If you've ever wondered whether your business has quietly become your mistress, and what it would take to get your relationship, your time and your money back, then Gaelene is the person to talk to.

Vox Pops! This is Bish from Bolster, and he is one of the founding members of our Goal Achievers chapter.

Behind the laughs, Dom helps business owners see a bigger truth: your business should be an asset that grows value, not just a job that consumes your time. If your business can’t run without you, it’s time to build something stronger, smarter, and more scalable. He can help you to do that.

He is also a caffeine fiend and we love that for him.

If you as a business owner have ever wondered what will happen when you are ready to retire, and how to assure your loved ones are provided for, then Dom is the person to talk to.

Vox Pops! This is Fereena from Rothbury. Not only is she an expert in all things insurance, she is also our current Secretary/Treasurer in the Goal Achievers chapter.

Fereena goes above and beyond for her clients. In fact, she has been rated within the top five Rothbury insurance brokers in Aotearoa!

She has shared stories with us of how her clients called her in a panic, after something unexpected and significant had just happened. Without fail, she was able to support them through the process, and get them the best possible outcome from their coverage. In the situations where it becomes clear that they need something different, Fereena does not shy away from having those conversations. She operates with integrity, showing empathy, while telling people what they really need to know about insurance. Sounds like someone worth having on your team, right? Sweetbix.

It's hardly surprising given she eats the breakfast of champions.

If you have questions about insurance, have a chat to Fereena from Rothbury.

Want to network with people who will actually pick up the phone and give you good advice? Check out our Goal Achievers chapter https://auckland.bni.co.nz/auckland-bni-goal-achievers/en-NZ/index

Vox Pops! Meet Chris Waters from Watershed Brand Lab.

Chris is an expert in all things brand: spoiler alert, your logo is only one piece of it. He is also our Goal Achievers Event Coordinator and Harbour Hospice Champion.

Chris believes in shifting the world by design. Using creativity and graphics to tell stories that stand out, get noticed, and feel real.

He also thinks Times is the worst font. Comic Sans loves to see it.

Last Friday we were fortunate enough to hear from Refresh Renovations Auckland Central - Neil Chand who gave the 10 minute presentation at BNI Goal Achievers.

Neil has been in the construction industry for over 28 years, and has seen it all. Through this time he has developed not only his skills, but his business principles and integrity. For Neil, delivering projects on time, on budget, and on spec is an every-day occurrence (yes really).

One of the key things he spoke about was that his team approach projects from a place of strong planning rather than uncertainty. He shared that it is common for people to receive free quotes from other companies who make big promises, and then can't deliver on them. Or if they can, it is only after blowing the budget and/or the timeline.

Instead, Refresh Renovations have a tried and tested system that allows them to provide accurate estimates, with specific details mapped out from the very beginning. Property owners know exactly what they're going to get, when it will be done, and what it will cost them.

Sounds like a winning formula to us!

Thinking of doing a renovation? You can find Neil Chand here https://www.refreshrenovations.co.nz/people/neil-chand
