We've had some interesting weather here, but nothing stops us getting our learning done.

Earlier this week we had a bit of a water drama.

The freezing temperatures caused an outdoor water pipe to freeze, leaving two of our learning spaces and our bathrooms without water. We were only moments away from having to close the school on health and safety grounds.

Thankfully, our good friends at Patterson Plumbing came to the rescue. They quickly tracked down the frozen pipe, got the water flowing again, and saved the day so we could keep the school open.

Now, we could have fixed it ourselves. Our staff's expertise extends well beyond the school curriculum, but we were just a little busy teaching.

The pipe has now been insulated, so you can all relax... there'll be no school closure due to frozen pipes anytime soon!

Thank you to everyone who supported us at the Raukapuka Waiata Festival!

We managed to capture a few photos of our students in action throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school, showing enthusiasm, confidence, and a willingness to give everything a go.

One of our favourite ways to end the week (or anytime, really!) is with a whole school game in our local domain.

Today's challenge was Capture the Flag Double Nest, Care Crew/House Edition! There was plenty of running, teamwork, strategy, laughter, and friendly competition.

These are some of the moments that make our school special – students of all ages playing together, supporting one another, and making the most of our amazing local environment.
