So what’s happening in my little corner of the world today?
I’ve had a number of conversations with people lately about what the best forms of security are.
I always start with the broken window theory.
I won’t go into too much detail but it basically means …
you see something,
you do something.
As an example, if there were two businesses right next door to each other and one was beautifully well presented and looked after it would be less likely to be targeted for vandalism and if there was vandalism or tagging it would be removed straight away. This way the offender knows that somebody is looking after that property,
But the building next door is never fixed or is continuously being targeted because the offender knows that nobody cares about it. My point is if your window is broken then get it fixed, if there is tagging on your building remove it take pride in what you have this way the whole Community prospers. everything we do makes a difference and you don’t have to spend money on fancy security Systems when all the little things we do make a huge difference to our security foundation.
We are very achieve with the help of our clients that we Patrol over 24 hour seven day period and if we see tagging we try to remove it and then report it to them and they remove the rest the next day.

Afternoon all on this beautiful day.
This weekend I spoke to a person in the street who was curious as to what we actually do.
I Explained that we are
Talbot Security Group, a company who is 100% locally owned and Ashburton based and employee other locals that live in our community to perform all of our services.
From Patrol staff who are actively patrolling 24 hours, 7 days a week and never stop.
We are Monitoring Alarms for signals, we also supply and install Alarms and service them. 
CCTV supply and install
Locksmiths and key cutting Service based at 519 East Street at
TSG The Lockshop,
I gave him a handout which has over 30 other services ranging from
fire extinguisher servicing and supply,
document destruction and many many more.
He looked at me a little bit shocked and said that he uses 5 different companies and has never seen an office here for them.
He’s now got my email address now and I’m going to see him tomorrow. 😀

Christchurch City Council is urging residents to be careful after discovering fraudulent parking stickers directing customers to false payment websites.

The stickers were reported this morning with QR codes placed on some parking machines across the city, including machines from the Council as well as other parking providers.

In each case, the meter screens had also been vandalised with permanent marker to prevent customers from using the machine and instead encourage them to scan the fraudulent QR code to make payment.

If you believe you, or someone you know, may have used the fraudulent website or entered bank card details, please contact your bank, the Police, and phone the Council’s Contact Centre on 03 941 8999 to advise the location of the fraudulent sticker.

The Council is working with Police and other parking providers to ensure the stickers are recognised and removed as soon as possible.
