Many many thanks to Scott for all his hard work in the vineyard and on the grounds this season. Sovereign Estate is looking absolutely beautiful. Scott's late mother Carol who loved him so much would be so proud of what he has achieved.

The sunset finally ended with a blood red sky. I have never seen such along dramatic sunset in all my life as I saw tonight on 2nd November 2021. 9 months ago to this day was Carol's last evening at the vineyard before her car accident the following afternoon. We at Sovereign Estate Vineyard love you so much and you are always in our thoughts and hearts.

Spent the day mowing the vineyard and checking the vines for any leaf infections. Remove infected leaves and place on the vineyard cuttings pile to be burnt. It was 8pm when the sky just lit up with an incredible sunset.

Sovereign Estate Vineyard being on the south ridge of Matakana Valley catches amazing sunsets. To stand in the vineyard with a glass of wine watching the sun going down is so good for the soul. Photos taken 20/10/2021 and 27/09/2021.

Autumn 2021 was spectacular, nature put on a real show. The liquid amber trees were beautiful in there various colours. The vines in the vineyard went completely gold. However with all this beauty around us, our hearts were broken with the tragic loss of Carol Joy due to a car accident. We held her funeral at the place she loved the most, Sovereign Estate Vineyard.
I have to thank family, neighbors and strangers who gave up their time and helped with the harvest, God Bless You.
I received good news from the winery today that our merlot wine is due late November 2021.
