A recent example of why ongoing ACC management matters 👇
One of my clients (who has nominated ACC Assist as their primary levy contact) paid two levy invoices — a previous year’s CoverPlus and the current year’s pro-rata CoverPlus Extra.
They combined both amounts and made one payment to the same ACC account.
Shortly after, their account showed a $5 balance due to a late penalty fee which ACC initially refused to reverse.
Weeks later, I received notice that their CoverPlus Extra levy was overdue and that the policy would be terminated if not paid.
I immediately responded with confirmed payment details, assuming that would resolve the issue.
A week later… the policy was terminated.
I contacted ACC directly, provided full payment confirmations and dates, and requested reinstatement. The policy was reinstated and — this time — the late fee was reversed.
All of this was handled behind the scenes.
Once resolved, I was able to update the client with a simple message:
“No action required.”
