🚙A jam-packed day out!🚙

The Manurewa Community Recycling Centre team spent a day out and about back in July to learn and understand more about different faces of zero waste mahi.

The day started with volunteering at Fair Food in Rosebank, cooking meals and packing snacks using ingredients and produce that would have otherwise gone to waste 🍳

Following lunch, the team then took a tour around MPHS Tipping Point to learn about how they do things in the west side ♻️

The final stop of the day was a first-time tour of , learning about the circular economy of buying and reselling used cartons to reduce the water and energy usage that goes into recycling cardboard.

We're always looking to improve, and this was the perfect outing to learn and get inspired!

Join the Beautification Trust team as an Illegal Dumping team member, collecting rubbish dumped in streets, parks, and public areas across Manurewa on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Day to day, you will:
🚛Drive the box truck to reported locations
👷Safely collect illegally dumped rubbish
♻️Recover recyclable materials where possible
📱Record completed work

This role will provide:
💵Living wage
📃Fixed contract, until end of June 2027
