Sustainable Business Network

Sustainable Business Network Empowering business so people and nature prosper. Too often profit is vulnerable, dependent on old modes of thinking and working. Join us on the journey.

The Sustainable Business Network has a vision of a transformed business world in which organisations thrive because they cherish the resources and people they depend on. Sustainable Business Network members are charting a path to profit we can be proud of - profit that benefits communities, employees and our natural environment as well as shareholders – profit fit for the twenty-first century.

Goodbye Facebook and Instagram.

The Sustainable Business Network is exiting Meta’s services.
We’ve advertised on Meta. We've spent valuable time enriching its social networks for free with our content.

But we’re a network dedicated to positive environmental and social outcomes. As you probably know, Mark Zuckerberg just abandoned fact checking and Diversity Equity and Inclusion.

That's something we “dislike”.

We hope the resulting tumbleweeds provide the “masculine” all-American backdrop Mark was seeking.

We stopped posting on Twitter/X back in 2022. We’re tempted to start again, just to announce we’re leaving. But we won’t.

We’ll be focusing our social media content on LinkedIn from now on, and exploring other options.

The sights of SBN's summer - courtesy of our diverse landscapes. 📸

Many of our tema went 'bush' over the summer break. They discovered pockets of native forest from Makarora in the South Island to Pukenui in the Far North. 📍

Those gems are a small fraction of the native forests that once spread across this country. Their experiences were a good reminder of why we, along with many others, are supporting Recloaking Papatūānuku. It's an initiative to recloak Aotearoa New Zealand in 2.1 million hectares of native forests over the next 10 years. 🏞️

Read more about the initiative's ambitious vision below.
