Lucky enough to work with these amazing humans TWICE this year!

Yesterday at the North Harbour Club Lexus of North Shore Charity Lunch with ‘When will Technology take over my job’

And then back in April as we announced the new Science & Technology Centre at MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology) to the industry community.

Love the passion,
Love the humour,
Love that they are both soooo willing to share their time, wealth of knowledge and insights.

So professional, so much fun, and so REAL!

The new Science & Technology Centre at is going to be a fantastic hands-on, minds-on space for our tamariki to explore and discover the amazing world of STEAMM.

I know my children will absolutely love the opportunity to get in there, even I’m looking forward to all the planning coming to fruition!

We are nearing the close of TWO big partnership agreements!

Cannot wait to get these locked in for our client and then the celebrating can begin 🥂

However - I’m always amazed at how this process can be seriously underestimated!

I was very lucky to have a great mentor many years ago who said to me ‘the best contracts are the ones that sit in a bottom drawer never to be touched again’

And that’s not to say they are just gathering dust - but instead that the process has been so robust and consultative that both parties have a clear understanding of expectations before the relationship even kicks off.

Drafting the contract is the chance to set the tone for the relationship and create clarity. If both parties enter into the partnership with their eyes wide open, there shouldn’t be a need to consult back to the paper copies.

This process always takes longer than anyone expects. But it’s sooo important. So we will continue to take the time now, be pedantic, ask the questions, make the suggestions and squeeze in all the little tweaks - because NOW is the time to do it!

Then sign on the dotted line and drop it in the bottom drawer, so the real fun can begin.

Connector Communities is all about medium-sized business owners, experts and entrepreneurs coming together once a month. Our community share their knowledge and insights and inspire each other to continue tackling challenges, thinking for the future, and outside the box ideas….

But honestly the best part is catching up with people who you don’t just ‘network’ with. They are a cracking bunch who I’m pleased to have as my business circle - lots of laughs as usual 🤣

NURTURE THE SEED AND IT WILL BLOSSOM

I am very proud to be working alongside the team at MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology) on their new Science and Technology Centre.

At the end of March we hosted an amazing event with a world class panel who all shared the belief that STEAMM based learning is so incredibly important for our future generations.

We all want to see the Science & Technology Centre flourish as we know this will be an amazing place for young people, whanau and community to visit and explore.

On the night our guests left with a gift of Manuka seeds. Symbolism for the centre, symbolism for the future of our youth. Nurture the seed and it will blossom.

The building is now closed and developments and plans are well underway for this exciting new venture!
