Guess what this machine does.

We’ll give you a hint.

Its name is Kutty Kutty.

Traditional label cutting requires a physical die to be manufactured for each shape. That means tooling costs—and waiting for the die to arrive before production can begin.

Kutty Kutty cuts directly from a digital file instead.

No physical die. No tooling charge. No waiting.

That saves time and money, particularly for short runs, custom shapes and designs that may change.

With eight cutting heads working at once, Kutty Kutty gets labels finished faster—and gets them out the door sooner.

What’s happening here?

There’s a lot going on - blink and you’ll miss it - that’s how fast it rolls.

But behind all that speed is some seriously smart technology. Here’s what’s happening, step by step:

1. The hazard labels have already been printed onto a large roll.
2. The machine checks the position of each printed label.
3. The cutting heads follow the outside of each triangle.
4. The label material is cut, while the backing paper underneath remains intact.
5. Several rows of labels are cut at the same time.
6. The finished triangular labels stay on the backing, ready for the surrounding waste material to be removed.

In simple terms, the machine is cutting each printed hazard label into its finished triangular shape.

This is where one big job becomes lots of finished label rolls.

Our Daco turret rewinder separates and winds the labels while the next set of cardboard cores is prepared.

It’s quick, clever and oddly satisfying to watch.

You've probably heard of gloss and matte labels. They're two of the most popular finishes.

But what about silk sheen or matte with selective gloss?

In this video, Greg walks you through all four finishes and explains what sets them apart.

Now labels are one of those things that's much easier to appreciate in your hand than on a screen. But this should give you a good feel for how each finish changes the look and feel of your label.
