Sa lahat ng Pilipino sa New Zealand, Maligayang Linggo ng Wika! 🇵🇭

Sa pagdiriwang natin ng ating wika, ipinagdiriwang din natin ang pagiging Pilipino. Ang ating pagkakakilanlan ay nabuo sa mga kuwentong naipasa mula sa isang henerasyon hanggang sa susunod, at sa iba’t ibang wikang ginagamit sa buong Pilipinas. Sa pamamagitan ng mga ito, dala natin ang mga karanasan, paniniwala, at pagpapahalagang nag-uugnay sa atin sa ating pinagmulan.

Ang pamumuhay sa ibang bansa ay nagbibigay sa atin ng pagkakataong makilala ang iba’t ibang tao at makaranas ng bagong paraan ng pamumuhay. Pero saan man tayo dalhin ng buhay, dala pa rin natin ang puso ng pagiging Pilipino. 📣 Group and Tour Es**rt Visitor Visa applications moving online

▪ On 24 August 2026, Group and Tour Es**rt Visitor Visa applications will be on our enhanced Immigration Online system.
▪ All applications submitted using the old application form will still be processed. You do not need to do anything.
▪ If you have a draft application, you have until 7 October 2026 to complete and submit it. On 8 October 2026, any remaining drafts will be deleted and you will have to start a new application using the new form.

Changes are coming to the Parent Resident Visa Expression of Interest process.

From 5 October 2026, there will be changes to how Expressions of Interest are selected:

📌 Around 90% of Expressions of Interest will be selected in date order
📌 Around 10% will be selected through a ballot
📌 Expressions of Interest will no longer expire after two years, provided applicants confirm every two years that they wish to remain in the pool and keep their information up to date
📌 No additional fee will be required for this confirmation

What is staying the same?

The annual cap remains at 2,500 Parent Resident Visas, and there are no changes to the existing visa eligibility requirements for applicants and sponsors.

🗓️ The first selection under these changes is scheduled for 10 November 2026.

What is ANZSCO? 🇦🇺🇳🇿

The Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) groups occupations based on similar tasks and responsibilities and assigns each occupation a skill level from 1 to 5.

So, what is my ANZSCO skill level?

📌Search for your occupation in the ANZSCO classification
📌 Find the occupation that most closely matches your role and responsibilities
📌Check its assigned skill level and occupation code

Remember, the ANZSCO skill level reflects the skill level generally required for the occupation, not your personal skill level.

Have hepatitis B or C? There’s an important update to New Zealand’s health requirements.

As of 3 August 2026, hepatitis B and C are no longer included in the list of high-cost health conditions used when assessing resident visa applications.

So, what does this mean for applicants?

Having hepatitis B or C does not automatically mean you will fail the acceptable standard of health requirement. Instead, your individual medical circumstances will be considered by a medical assessor.

There have also been updates to how some other health conditions are described, including psychiatric illness and/or addiction, severe autoimmune disease, and renal and hepatic disorders.

The goal of these changes is to make the assessment clearer and ensure the health conditions on the list reflect significant costs or demands on New Zealand’s health or education services.
