I was super fortunate in November to be able to take our precious seven year old son to Asia with me while his mum stayed home and held the fort.
We had the time of our lives traveling through Japan / Korea / China and Taiwan for just over two weeks.
I love that our son is always open to taste testing local cuisine however, he was quite proud to claim the fact he managed to fit in a MacDonalds filet o fish burger in every country we visited! ๐๐
I also managed to get him to try escargot ๐ of which I refrained from explaining exactly what it was till much after his dinner had settled:) much to his disgust he exclaimed, have I just eaten Turbo?!
You parents will know who Iโm talking about!
Our Journey was filled with excitement, fun and surprises as we visited and explored places together of most, for the first time for my boy.
Tokyoโs Disneyland Wesley found a new love for MaryPoppins! โค๏ธ Samurai Temples, Mind blowing aquariums and museums such as Hiroshima and Yokohama were emotional yet educational for a us both.
I gave Wesley his own solo spot on the grand piano within my concerts, of which made him an overnight sensation with the 1200 strong audience. He belted out the Can Can like a pro while I watched with an enormous sense of pride.
Watching my son on the big stage made me reflect on my childhood days of performing for the very first time, how nervous I had felt before and even after! And how my father would calm me down with his deep voice and large embrace. Not Wesley! Lol he wanted to know when the next concert was! Kids these days do not lack confidence.
Wesley is back at school now finishing off the year and I am currently performing abroad and counting the down the days till Iโm home for Christmas. Here are a few pics of our memories together.
Seasons Greetingโs to you all ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฒ
