Twelve thousand feet above the ground – and just two steps more would see him flying through the sky on the biggest adventure of his life. But would he jump? The huge door of the Hercules was wide open and he could almost touch the sky.

I was standing at that door with him. I believed in him. He trusted me.

This young man was in one of the programs that I was part of during my 13 years in a Child and Youth Charity. He had great potential but lacking the confidence to achieve the life he deserved and was capable of. We were working to grow his confidence and in doing so build his resilience. One of the opportunities offered was to do a tandem sky dive from a Hercules.

Was he terrified? Yes. Did he jump? Yes. Would he do it again, absolutely yes!

What does this have to do with starting a business you might ask?

I can tell you that starting and operating a business takes more resilience than you could imagine. When you start a business you put your heart, soul and all you have into creating your future and although it can be a wonderful experience it can also test your resilience to the limit.

How will you personally keep going, even when things get really tough? How will you create a business that is also resilient to the ups and downs that are sure to come?

The first thing is to get the foundations right. Identify where there are strengths and where there are weaknesses. Build on the strengths and mitigate the weaknesses. Work with people who have the professional knowledge to support you. Have clear plans and strategies for good times and bad. Take it step by step. Take the time to build gradually, with each step taking you closer to your dream. Believe in yourself and know that, with the right support, you can do this.

Have someone who you trust to stand at that door with you so that you too can take that leap and jump into the future that you deserve

Welcome to 2021 everyone! I hope that you have found some time to reflect and re-energise as you said goodbye to last year and welcomed the beginning of some new opportunities. One thing that the past year has taught many of us is that it has made us focus on what is important and to consider how we want to live our lives going forward. As well as all the challenges this could be a great opportunity to start something new - it has been for me - and I am excited to tell you some more about that. I was planning to wait until my website was finished - but I know there are people out there who are wanting support creating their new futures and I want to be there for them. So, I am taking massive imperfect action and getting this out there before the said website is ready - so dont go looking for it ha ha! I am sharing a presentation that I did recently where I was telling some people a little about my passion and what I have created. Hello everyone,

I hope your run up to this very strange Christmas is going well. There are so many families who cant be together this year ( including mine) and we are all no doubt looking forward to changing that as soon as we are able.

In the meantime I have been focusing on creating my new business and I am pleased to tell you that I will be launching my course in January!

I am so excited to be able to continue to support people who have dreams of starting a business. I will post more details shortly but in the meantime if you, or someone you know is interested to know more, please just get in touch. I am only going to offer this to a small number of people, so I can really focus on what you need.

Let's keep looking forward and creating the future we want for ourselves. I am sure many of us are fed up of other things taking control of our lives lately and are ready to make our own decisions and change our own worlds. I would love to help you. Keep believing.

Hi Everyone
How's things with you? I hope all is going well.
For the first time in my life I have had a photo shoot! Yes - photos of me taken by a professional photographer. It was so much fun! Stoffels Photography- awesome, talented lovely lady. These photos will be used on my website ( I am building that myself - oh my goodness....what a learning curve....I will share that in another post). I will also use them on my LinkedIn profile and any other media that I am using to promote my new business and course. It is nearly ready folks! Stand by. Here are a couple of the photos.
