Sometimes the best team meetings happen outside the office.

After another busy month at Tommy & Co, we decided to change things up for our monthly team meeting.

Instead of sitting around the meeting table, we headed out for some fresh air, a bite to eat at the local pub, and a chance to catch up in a more relaxed environment.

We still talked business, reflected on the month and looked at what’s ahead, but sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what everyone needs.

Running a busy practice can be full-on, and we’re always focused on looking after our clients and getting the work done. But looking after our people matters just as much.

A bit of fresh air, good food, plenty of laughs and some quality time together.

Back into it feeling refreshed and ready for another month!

Halfway through 2026 already.

It’s hard to believe we’re already past the halfway mark of the year.

Last night the Tommy & Co team pressed pause for our annual mid-winter Christmas celebration. We kicked things off with dinner before heading along to cheer on the One NZ Warriors.

Win or lose, it didn’t really matter. It was about spending time together, having a few laughs, and getting to know each other outside of work. I honestly think nights like these are where great teams become even stronger.

Running a business can be busy. There are always deadlines, clients to look after, and the next challenge waiting around the corner. But it’s just as important to stop every now and then.

Take a breath.
Celebrate the wins.
Reflect on what’s working.
Adjust what isn’t.

We’re only halfway through the year, which means there’s still plenty of time to make 2026 your best one yet.

I’m incredibly grateful for the Tommy & Co team and everything we’ve achieved together so far. Looking forward to what the second half of the year brings.

Up the Wahs!

Supporting Local Businesses Starts with Showing Up, even at 6:30am

This morning I had the pleasure of attending the Tradie Breakfast organised by the Pukekohe Business Association.

It was fantastic to connect with hardworking local business owners who are out there every day building, fixing, creating and keeping our community moving.

At Tommy & Co, we strongly believe that real business success is built on strong local relationships. When local businesses support each other, the whole community grows stronger.

Giving back isn’t always about big gestures

sometimes it’s simply about being present, listening, sharing knowledge and offering advice where we can.

We are proud to stand alongside our local tradies and business owners, providing practical advice, strategic support and a steady hand through both growth and change.

Grateful to be part of such a resilient and supportive business community here in Franklin.

Pre-Year End Team Building ✅

Before the year-end rush kicks in, we pressed pause this afternoon and stepped out of the office for some quality team time.

Lunch, drinks, a few laughs… and a friendly competition at the driving range.

At Tommy & Co, we know strong systems and great client outcomes start with a connected, energised team. Taking time to reset, build relationships, and have a bit of fun together helps us show up better for our clients and for each other.

Grateful for a hardworking team that continues to grow, support one another, and strive for excellence — both in the office and at the driving range.

Now… back to finishing the year strong 💪
