We recently presented at Coca Cola during their Safety Day and ran a toolbox session on all things glove related. Cut resistance, chemical protection, what those little symbols on the cuff actually mean - all of it.

Most people have never understood their gloves properly. Once you know what you're looking at and truly grasp the level of protection you’re getting, it changes how you think about your PPE and your own safety, and that’s exactly what happened in this session.

Great morning, great questions, and a great crew. This is exactly the kind of stuff we love getting out and doing!

We had an awesome time and great engagement at the NZSB Expo. We went in prepared to make people a little uncomfortable, and it definitely worked in leaving impressions and getting our key messages across!

Our acetone demo showed just how quickly it can pass straight through a glove that looks fine on the outside. Our eggs versus caustic soda demo (protein reacting the same way your eyes would) got a few visible winces. And the Wheel of Death walked people through the real dangers behind eight common workplace chemicals, and what safety measures can be taken when handling them.

Alongside the demos, we had a strong lineup of gloves, coveralls, and respiratory on display, with plenty of good conversations about fit, chemical resistance, and what actually holds up on site.

Huge thanks to the NZ Safety Blackwoods team for hosting the event, and the Ansell team for joining us in exhibiting!

Another great visit from the team at Shigematsu (STS), who joined us on the road for customer visits in Wellington recently.

There's nothing quite like getting out from behind the screen and into the field with the people who make the gear we distribute every day. Customer visits, real respiratory conversations, and many laughs along the way – the true highlights of supplier partnerships!

This week we headed up to PGG Wrightson/Fruitfed's Kerikeri branch and participated in the spray season PPE showcase, and it had been a great morning! Good conversations with local growers about the gear that matters most this spray season - respiratory protection to guard against chemical inhalation, gloves to protect hands from pesticides and herbicides, and coveralls to keep skin covered during application.

We also did several respirator fit tests, because the right mask needs to fit correctly to do its job. It's always a highlight getting face-to-face with the people who use this gear every day 🙌
