NZPBC - The New Zealand Philippines Business Council NZPBC is dedicated to fostering and strengthening trade, investment and business relationship between New Zealand and the Philippines.

We support our Filipino business community in NZ. We create business synergy! Membership in the Council is a great professional and business decision that gives you a competitive edge in the regional business community. As a member you will have the opportunity to:

We are proud to recognize Angelito “Lito” Tuazon Banal as one of the 100 Global Filipino Entrepreneurs, honoring a journey defined by resilience, hard work, leadership, and service to the Filipino community in New Zealand.

A Kapampangan from Floridablanca, Pampanga, Lito is a Civil Engineering graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology. He moved to New Zealand in 1988, where his early years reflected the determination of a first-generation immigrant. He worked two jobs, stacking shelves in supermarkets while repairing televisions from house to house.

His journey eventually led to corporate leadership and the development of Kiwi Group under Kiwi Management Services Limited. As Co-Director of Kiwi Roofing Ltd, established in Auckland in 2001, he helped lead a company specializing in large-scale commercial and industrial metal roofing. The wider group includes Kiwi Roofing, Insulated Panel Systems, ReroofNZ, and Commercial Skylights Specialist.

His achievements have earned notable recognition, including the 2016 ANZ Migrant Business Award. In 2022, he received a Certificate of Commendation from the Philippine Embassy in New Zealand for his contributions as Chairman of the New Zealand Philippines Business Council. He was also recognized by Filipino News NZ with the 2014 Business Excellence Award and the 2017 Filipino of the Year Award.

Beyond business, Lito has dedicated years to community leadership. He served as Chairman of the Auckland Catholic Filipino Chaplaincy for three terms from 2002 to 2012 and chaired the New Zealand Philippines Business Council from 2011 to 2022. He continues to support Filipino, Kapampangan, community, sports, and charitable initiatives.

Angelito “Lito” Tuazon Banal is recognized for transforming the challenges of immigrant life into a journey of entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service. His story reflects perseverance, humility, and the Filipino spirit of creating meaningful impact while lifting others along the way.

We are proud to support the Financial Education seminar for Filipinos in New Zealand organized by the Auckland Catholic Filipino Chaplaincy on 13 September at St. Benedicts Parish Auckland.
