Sisterhood of Style NZ PERSONAL STYLIST Helping you to where what you love, more often 💕 My mission is to help build confidence through style. Let me help you :-)

I work with clients who need wardrobe editing, to go shopping in their wardrobe, personal shopping services, workshops on style and any combo they might need. I am a busy working mum of two kids and appreciate that we all lead busy lives – kids or not. At the heart of what I do, is building confidence in women, so you can get on with the fun of living - every day. Style doesn't need to be confusing, it can be a bundle of fun if you let it.

Thrifted finds that work hard for their money are the best kind.

One tip for thrifting / Op shopping is the same for any shopping - have a list. Don’t buy randomly because it’s cheap. That’s fixing no one’s problem.

This boiler suit got the tick as it’s my style & colour. Choose things or accept things that fit your vibe and lifestyle.

Michelle used to look at her wardrobe and feel deflated and stuck. Now when we meet, it’s a creative fun process of uncovering more of her style confidence. I love to see her Personal Style shine. ✨

That’s the goal. I’m not just here to tell you what to wear ONE time; I’m here to teach you how to see your closet differently, so you can keep making those “wait, that actually works?!” combos long after our session ends.

Michelle’s now mixing pieces she used to walk right past and building outfits with confidence between our sessions. Watching that creative spark click on is my favourite part of this job. 🙌

Your wardrobe doesn’t have to be your problem. It just needs the right lens and some time with me.

Introducing the Off Script Bustier from Mad Nomad by Bibi Maber.

With stretch, a zip closure and detachable straps. This feels like an heirloom piece, one you’ll have forever and pass down the line.

Leopard Print is the ultimate neutral - meaning you can wear it either everything.

Thanks Bibi for the gorgeous gift! 🎁

I Tried It On So You Don’t Have To.

Full disclosure I have a love/hate problematic relationship with Zara. It has been like a bad boyfriend since I lived in London 30 years ago.

The fit is f&*ed, the trends can be eye wateringly bad and the fabric choices can be questionable.

But. There’s always a but. Their jackets can be exceptional, I have jackets from Zara that are timelessly good. Some of their accessories and shoes can also be bang on.

My Stylist top tips:
💚 check the labels for fabric composition. Choose natural fibres. You’ll thank me later
💚If the jacket is well made and fits you, it’s likely worth it. They often look more expensive than they are.
💚Avoid anything too “wacky” or is a micro trend (hello Bambi print and Military Jackets) - you know that’s heading to landfill and we don’t do that.
💚If in store, do a couple of laps. One to peruse and one to gather.
💚Avoid it on weekends - trust me.
💚if the crowds and queues are too much, try on trousers by taking off hanger and wrapping waist around your neck. If it closes, it’ll fit you. Maybe not well (because Zara), but it’ll fit.
💚Be warned, I’m pretty sure they put heat in their lights in the changing rooms. They want you in and out. They’re down lights too so they ain’t flattering!
💚 In store has different stock to online

Where should I do a try on next?

❤️ 🤍 🦓

This spring, may I invite you to try wearing colour? Use it as a time to experiment, dip a toe in the water and see how you like it.

One way to help dip the toe is to pair it with a neutral print that can go with everything. My choices that never go out of style - animal print and camo.

You know the drill, thoughts, feelings, write them on a postcard or in the comments below! 👇🏼

Hello gorgeous!

Spring colour inspiration to try.

The perfect season to give something new a whirl, don’t limit yourself to the usual and step outside the norm.

Inspo can be taken from nature, from art, online or the friend you sit next to at work.

Flex your style muscles 💪 in midlife, because why not?

Will you try this combo?

+ The math ain’t mathing +

You spend big on the event wear, that you’ll wear twice.

Then you’re stuck rewearing the same 5 outfits for your actual, everyday life.

You’ve got that backwards.

Your daily wardrobe works harder than any event outfit ever will and it deserves the investment. You deserve the investment.

Let’s switch it up. Are you in?

Wearing a special investment piece from Kat Huffer to add something something to my daily looks.
