Marley Trade

Marley Trade Manufacturers of a wide range of PVC and PE pipe and products to the plumbing, electrical, building, rural and civil trades in New Zealand.

Marley has been part of Kiwi homes since 1957. Stratus | RP80 | OPTIM DWV | Drainflo| SecuraOne | ARMA | CALIBRE From humble beginnings in 1957 as a vinyl flooring contractor and retailer, Marley has grown to become one of New Zealand’s largest manufacturers in the plastics industry and an iconic Kiwi brand. A couple of years after its inception, Marley moved to Manurewa and has worked closely ever since with its neighbour, Dux Industries. Synonymous with Plumbing, Dux is known for a strong focus on innovation and collaboration. In the early 1990s Dux revolutionised the plumbing market with the SecuraGold® Hot & Cold system. Polybutene-1 pipe and de-zincification resistant brass fittings are now one of the most commonly used piping systems in New Zealand. Fast forward to now, Marley New Zealad and Dux Industries are part of the Aliaxis group, a privately owned business based in Belgium. Aliaxis brings with it a passion for creating sustainable innovative solutions for water and energy. They lead the industry in a way that anticipates the rapidly evolving needs of their customers. The expansion of Marley's brand and the retirement of Dux's brand under the Aliaxis umbrella means change but not where it matters. Our history of performance, quality and innovation remains. With an extensive range of rainwater products, surface water drainage and wastewater traps, we also offer products across building, plumbing, civil and infrastructure, electrical and rural. We’ve got you covered! If you’re a tradie Marley Trade is the home for you, we’ll be sharing news, tips and product info with some half decent bants thrown in to keep it lively.

Like any good recycling story, there is even a recycling story behind the recycling effort itself...

The one-cubic-metre collection bags used in the Hawke's Bay pipe recycling programme weren't bought new. They were sourced second-hand by Geoff Gibson and the Hastings District Council team from a local company that no longer needed them.

So while the programme is helping give PVC and PE pipe a second life, the collection bags are getting a second life too.

It's a great example of how small practical actions can help keep valuable resources in use for longer. 👍

A huge thank you to Hawke's Bay plumbers, contractors and merchants who helped divert 4,340kg of PVC and PE pipe from landfill. ♻️

The region's first collection was transported to PRNZ Auckland on 30 June, where it will be processed and put back into the manufacturing loop.

Best of all, contamination levels were minimal, showing the care and effort being taken by everyone involved.

Great work Hawke's Bay 🙌 Let's keep it going.
