Specialist Firestop Contractors was formed to meet the growing need in the New Zealand construction industry for efficient, competent, passive firestop installations. We are members of FPANZ, The Fire Protection Association of New Zealand. All our applicators are dedicated firestop installers, and are all site safe certified. Although we can be engaged during any stage of the construction process,

we highly recommend getting in contact as early as possible. By talking to the trades that will be penetrating your fire seperations we can usually identify potential problems and decide on solutions for them before they become issues later in a build. Before any installations start we make sure that systems and products to be used are first approved by clients and/or the Fire Engineering firm they use. We mark up plans, create a schedule of works, label our installations, photograph our work, and provide data/methodology/test reports. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Familiarity in the construction business would help;
All training and safety equipment will be provided on site;
OWN TRANSPORT IS A REQUIREMENT as work is placed all over Auckland and you may be required to work at multiple sites in a day;
Hours available 20-40 hours per week, more during busy periods;

Great opportunity at a very promising career path for someone with the right work ethic and enthusiasm to learn;
Good Communication skills necessary, excellent communication skills preferred;
You will be working for a highly regarded passive fire protection company working on multiple commercial buildings;

We specialize in dealing with passive fire protection issues in commercial buildings and also consult with clients to ensure their build goes smoothly while saving them money. From repairing firewalls with service penetrations to building them we do it all.

We use the latest fire stop recording system Falcon Grey Solutions to do all mark up of service penetrations through firewalls floors and much more will add a link soon to this system as it is a revolutionary tool that will help building owners with their passive fire protection records/consent.

We can be approached at any stage during the building phase but can always help companies save money by approaching us earlier to identify areas that will become a problem then give solutions to fix these issues without having to tear a wall/ceiling down.
