The Networking Group - Epsom

The Networking Group - Epsom The Networking Group (TNG) is a networking organisation that connects Trades, Services and Professionals. The meetings are run according to an Agenda.

TNG is your opportunity to grow strong business relationships with your fellow Members and thus receive and give referrals. TNG promotes the power of ‘word of mouth’ marketing, which is an immensely effective way of growing your business. Meetings are held fortnightly in a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is able to promote their business with no significant costs once you have joined. TNG is dif

ferent to other networking groups in the sense that we create a relaxed atmosphere for you to network and grow your businesses through word of mouth marketing. Our meetings allow you to feel comfortable and enjoy yourself whilst investing time to work on your business. The meetings are held fortnightly and only a coffee is required to be purchased. We don't lock you into any fixed term contracts with the cafe we meet at. We also only allow one person from each trade or service to become a member so you are guaranteed to have no competition at the meetings. Our Meeting Format

At each TNG Group meeting there is a Group Manager. The Group Manager is responsible for facilitating the meetings. One minute talk - each Member and Guests has the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. Please see below for the guidelines on how to create an effective one minute talk.

10 minute presentation - each Member will get the opportunity to do a 10 minute presentation. We only have one 10 minute speaker at each meeting. This is the time to give greater insight into what you do and the experience you have had. In addition, how you can help your fellow Members and what leads and referrals you would appreciate. Guest Speaker - there will either be a Guest Speaker or a Member doing a 10 minute presentation at each meeting. We invite Guest Speakers to promote their business and provide an interesting presentation for our Members. In turn, both our Members and the Guest Speaker receives exposure and referrals are often generated. The benefits of becoming a Member of Trade Networking Groups:

- Grow your business with personal recommendations and leverage off the power of ‘word of mouth’ advertising to unlimited potential clients

- Fortnightly meetings, plus additional meet ups to further build strong business relationships

- Create salespeople to generate business leads for your business through other Members

- Connect with like-minded business people and discuss and brainstorm around issues that affect all businesses

- The opportunity to seriously build your network

- Free networking and referral training

- Feel inspired and invigorated to work on your business, not just in it

Don’t wait until business gets quiet to start building relationships.

Networking works best when people see you regularly, hear your message often, and understand who you help.

That doesn’t happen if you disappear over winter.

May is a great time to reset your networking strategy so you can head into the colder months with more focus, more consistency and a clearer message.

This month’s blog shares simple ways to stay visible and make the most of your networking before winter really settles in.

May is a smart time to reset your networking strategy.

The summer rush is over. Easter and school holidays are behind us. The weather is cooling down. And for many business owners, winter can become the season where it feels easier to pull back.
But going quiet doesn’t help your business grow.

As Theo Simeonidis, TNG Area Manager for Warkworth, Hibiscus Coast, Orewa and Silverdale, says:

“Invisibility doesn’t help bring the business in! Stay connected, stay visible, build new relationships, stay engaged.”

This month’s blog looks at why May is a good time to refresh your networking strategy before winter properly settles in.

We talk about:

• Why consistency matters
• How to stay visible through winter
• Why your 60-second introduction may need a refresh
• How to make it easier for people to refer to you

One of the biggest mistakes small business owners make in a slower market is disappearing.

Not because they’ve done anything wrong.
Not because their business isn’t valuable.
But because they assume people will remember them when they’re ready.

Usually, they won’t.

When people are spending more carefully, trust matters more. Familiarity matters more. Word-of-mouth matters more.

That’s why networking can be such a smart way to market your business. It helps you stay visible, build real relationships, and stay top of mind in a way that doesn’t rely on big ad budgets.

When customers are taking longer to buy, visibility becomes even more important.

That doesn’t mean you need to spend more on advertising or suddenly be everywhere online.

Often, it’s the simple things that help most:
• showing up regularly
• staying connected
• having conversations
• following up
• making sure people remember what you do

In a cautious economy, steady visibility usually works better than big bursts of activity.

If leads have slowed down lately, you’re probably not the only one feeling it.

When the market feels uncertain, many business owners instinctively go quiet. But staying visible is often one of the most important things you can do.

Our latest blog explores why word-of-mouth matters even more in a cautious economy, the risk of disappearing when things feel slow, and how networking helps keep your business in the conversation.

When customers are spending cautiously, it’s easy to think the best thing to do is pull back and wait.

But going quiet can make it even harder for people to remember your business when they are ready to buy.

In this month’s blog, we’re looking at why visibility matters even more in a slower market, and how networking can help you stay top of mind without high ad spend.
